If one is attached to one thing, even if there is Prajñāpāramitā, it becomes decay, etc., one should contemplate in this way. The answers to "discipline" etc. and "having that name" etc., explained in verses, are easy to understand. "Knowing that things have characteristics" means that the illusion of being attached to the appearance of things has coarse characteristics, etc., and the things such as form, etc., that are transmitted from one similar place to another similar place, are distinguished by discrimination. Also, because it arises from a collection, the illusion of being attached to the appearance of things has the cause of characteristics, and form, etc., are distinguished by discrimination. "For those who do not know the nature of things" means those who do not know the inverted nature of form, etc. The wisdom of its equality is the wisdom of the unborn nature of form, etc. The explanation of "not by means" etc. is to explain the sentence "not by means is far away." The explanation of "Bodhisattva for a long time" etc. is to explain the sentence "then it is a skillful means." The antidote to Śrāvakas etc., the opposite of Bodhisattvas etc., is like this, the Śrāvakas etc., like this saying, like this, then the Śrāvakas etc. in the order said below, make the mother Prajñāpāramitā far away, which is to establish, because it cannot be obtained, it is a wrong practice, so the antidote to them, what Bodhisattvas etc. should abandon, is an opposite, as the holy Maitreya Bodhisattva said to be an opposite. The meaning of the verses of "form etc." etc. is like this saying form etc., referring to the nature of both the defiled of ordinary people and the undefiled of the saints, the ordinary people who have cut off a portion of afflictions, the assembly free from desire. The Dharma of form etc. in the three times, whatever is not a thing in its scriptures, by the way of clinging to things, clinging to it as real, to form etc.

It is necessary to know what is suitable. Therefore, regarding the aggregates such as form, one should view them as being empty of self and so on, which are imputed by others. Giving and so on, namely giving and discipline and so on, as well as the aspects of enlightenment, and the four meditations. Regarding these, the notion of practicing is called selflessness, and clinging to this is the antidote for the Shravakas and so on, it is the path. Why is that? Because the arising of perversion is precisely the reason for entering in reverse from the ordinary individuals who cling to self and so on. In this way, the side of the antidote of the Shravakas and so on just mentioned is precisely the unfavorable side for the Bodhisattvas. Why is that? Because the arising of perversion is precisely what should be abandoned. Or rather, because form and so on are not truly existent, so viewing them as emptiness and so on is also what should be abandoned by the Bodhisattvas. It should be explained in this way. Bodhisattvas, in reverse, and so on, are easy to understand. By blocking seeing and so on. It means that because the sutras have forbidden that eye consciousness and so on are what should be realized. Therefore, the nature is difficult to realize. Because it is not an object that can be realized by worldly measure, so knowing that all phenomena are unborn, thereby clinging to all things that should be abandoned and should be accepted, this is the unfavorable side for the Bodhisattvas, so it is what should be abandoned. That is what is meant. In this way, by the unfavorable side and so on, the practice is explained. By all phenomena such as form and so on, the meaning of the verse is shown. Practice refers to engaging in learning the selflessness of form and so on. Fully understanding it is approaching the target. By eliminating it, it means that because its reality is denied by non-form and so on. The practice of the Bodhisattvas on this and that is the excellent practice of not clinging to form and so on, and being accustomed to selflessness, there are ten aspects.

Regarding form and so forth, the ten distinctions of objects are shown through the gate of following, and what is called "extremely distinguishing" is the remainder, which is the commentary on "negating combination." When saying "form and so forth," what is meant by "for all dharmas of form and so forth" is the aggregates of form and so on. Their impermanence and emptiness and so forth are easy to understand. Because of being considered emptiness by nature, and because of possessing a collection of qualities and being the nature of dharma, therefore each is incomplete and complete, that is, the completeness and incompleteness of form and so forth. Non-attachment is not being attached to form and so forth, this is the explanation of the four words such as "form and so forth." Not changing is because of the unchanging nature of the mother of wisdom who possesses the nature of wisdom. In terms of the nature of form and so forth, it is without an agent, it is the explanation of "unchanging without an agent." The three omniscient natures that come in order are what was said earlier, and what is the purpose and combination and distinction of becoming their nature is what was said earlier, their difficulty is that even if all aspects and paths and grounds do not exist in suchness, bodhisattvas, by striving for all-knowingness and so forth, because the purpose and so forth of becoming their nature is difficult to accomplish, it is the explanation of "three difficult combinations." Because obtaining the fruit as it should be is not empty, because obtaining the fruit of all-knowingness and so forth without exceeding what is appropriate to the capacity is meaningful, it is said "as it should be" and so forth. What is called "not going by other conditions" is that because it becomes the most supreme of all, there is no other supreme, or in truth, because there is nothing more supreme than that, it is the nature of meditating on selflessness. That is the cause of the meaning of protecting oneself and so forth, therefore it is a condition. Or because of the protection and so forth of the nature of other conditions, the wisdom that individually distinguishes things as non-things. Going there is obtaining there.
