The prostration refers to what is said such as the dependent Dharma. It is said in the scriptures that all superior individuals are completely distinguished by the unconditioned. Therefore, it is only the lineage that should be discussed first, and those who are in accordance with the aspects of generating the mind of enlightenment, liberation, and ascertainment, are they not prior to those? How can it be said like that? It is true, but this is the order of meaning, and this is also the order of teaching, because it is taught what the result is first, and then the cause is taught after that, so there is no fault. The practice as described, that is, the nature of not focusing on generating the mind of enlightenment, etc., as previously described. The meaning of the words such as 'becoming the basis of that' and 'focusing on', briefly speaking, is that the first is mentioned, such as 'at first'. 'First application' refers to the good, non-good, and neutral that are initially taught in common with the Hearers, etc., that is, the objects of what should be taken, what should be abandoned, and what should be left in equanimity. What are they? In order, the conduct of a renunciate and the act of killing, and the actions of the body that are neutral, etc. The conduct of a renunciate is the immaculate path, intentionally and without error taking the life of another, and unintentional physical misconduct, etc. The word 'etc.' is connected one by one, such as the precepts, taking what is not given, and misconduct of speech, etc., that is, those three dharmas. After that, 'those themselves' refers to those previously mentioned. 'The remainder', like a rotten seed, so abandon the neutral, and whatever is the good and non-good dharma, those are the four divided into two, such as the mundane, that is, each of those mundane and supramundane, defiled and undefiled divisions, the four aggregates. That is in order, which means that because it is included in the mundane path, the mundane ones are the birth of ordinary people, etc. Because it is included in the true noble path, the supramundane.
