Etc. have been mentioned. The dependent one, which is thoroughly investigated by others and exists as a substance in things, is independent of others, indivisible, the cause, and the seer. Therefore, I am independent, one, the cause, and the seer. These are me. By realizing that, all afflictions are greed, etc. Being free from greed is turning away from external objects. Seeing and meditating are the paths of seeing, etc. Having done the meaning is having done the deed. These are also of the nature of dependence because they rely on the basis of defilement and non-defilement. When calculating discriminations, the order of the independent self, etc., is the basis. The discrimination of the nature of all afflictions as dependent is called the order of five, etc. These nine discriminations of clinging are all included by these. The discrimination of constantly clinging to the dependent one in which a person is nominally existent, the aggregates are form, etc. The sense bases are the twelve sense bases of internal and external nature, such as eye and form, etc. The elements are the eighteen kinds of distinctions such as the element of eye, form, and eye consciousness, etc. Dependent origination is merely a name. Complete purification is nirvana. The path of seeing, the path of meditation, the superior path, and the path of no more learning, are four in total. These and the discriminations of the nature of clinging, these are in accordance with the part of the bodhisattva's definitive understanding, and are possessed of the four bases of heat, etc., as many as the number. It has already been said that it possesses four such discriminations. Although discriminations are infinite, because they are unfavorable, only the discriminations belonging to the path are shown, and since nothing else is done, there is no fault because it is neither to be abandoned nor to be accepted. In accordance with the combination of verses, it is said that the complete grasping of the order of object and aspect, etc., has been said before, and then the intermediate verses have been inserted at the end, that is how it is combined.

It should be combined with the saying, "In what way does the power of speech become a difference?" In order to show that the four discriminations are not common with the Shravakas, etc., by the power of complete holding, it is said that "the mind is not timid," etc. This is considering that the teachers of the Shravakas have inner and outer views, and it is not like that. If someone asks, "Have you not heard that the Blessed One himself taught this path?" If they also, like Bodhisattvas, were to focus on the non-objective, that would be true, but this is not the case. Or, even if the Blessed One, by the power of his non-discrimination, entered the path of impermanence, etc., by his own thought, still there is no real holding. Even if he teaches truthfully, it will change according to his thought. Here, it is not the fault of the Blessed One, but like the case of sentient beings' thoughts, in order to ascend to the Mahayana, even if he teaches truthfully, it is because of such aspirations. The Shravakas themselves have arisen with untrue views, because they, relying on their own arrogance, from beginningless time, with the habits of familiarity, think that the Blessed One acknowledges that things exist in the ultimate sense, and therefore think that by the path of impermanence, etc., they can abandon the obscurations of knowledge. If this is the case, then ordinary people will also make the same mistake. Therefore, it will be explained below that "other dharmas also exist besides this." Regarding "having practice," etc., the verse says, "There are six dharmas of realization," which means that as the basis of the six kinds of dharmas to be realized, this "basis" refers to the lineage of the Bodhisattva continuum. If someone asks, "What is the dharma to be realized that relies on the Bodhisattva?" In order to show that dharma there by the order of arising, it is said that "antidote and abandonment," etc. "Antidote and abandonment" refers to abiding in the ultimate end of meditation.
