It should be known that they should be averted by meditations of mindfulness such as aversion to suffering and counting breaths. The meaning of the verses beginning with "Of Jambudvipa" is that beings born in places such as Jambudvipa are beings of Jambudvipa. To offer to as many Buddhas as there are such beings is to generate joy. Virtue and so forth is the supreme of merit. "Having made examples, in various ways," means again and again with many kinds of things such as flowers and incense, and that very thing, with the latter as an example for the former, in a progressive order of increasing from above, is sixteen in nature of increasing merit. "The four continents and the sun and moon, Mount Meru and the desire gods, For a thousand Brahma worlds, A thousand is considered the general essence. That thousand upon a thousand doubled, Is the intermediate world realm. That thousand upon a thousand tripled, Simultaneously holding and arising." As it says, its meaning is this: In the verses, mentioning Jambudvipa is merely a nearby indication, therefore, with Jambudvipa and so forth, the offering to those Tathagatas who are equal in number to whatever sentient beings there are in that three-thousandfold great thousand world realm, including Jambudvipa, Purvavideha, Aparagodaniya, Uttarakuru, the moon, and so forth, is the first increase. Especially, and so forth, explains seven kinds of increase. The Perfection of Wisdom has three aspects. To apply the mind to that is to rely on meditation and so forth. Non-arising is the non-arising of all phenomena, and tolerance for that is craving, that is, obtaining it. Not focusing on the Dharma to be enlightened and the Dharma that causes enlightenment is not focusing on what is to be known and so forth. Special means the Shravakas and so forth and the uncommon ten virtues and so forth, and the ten formless absorptions, that is, obtaining them. Approaching all the classes of gods means understanding by including the gods and so forth, and so do others.

It goes for the sake of meaning. All demons are powers and so on. Subduing them with supernatural powers is because supernatural powers render them powerless. Birth similar to the teacher is the Bodhisattvas. To abide in the same way is to practice that very deed. Moreover, merit is of eight kinds, which is connected with the following. That is to say, "in all ways," etc. Being skilled in means in all ways is through the first, etc. The training is completely pure, which is giving, etc., seized by selflessness. Becoming a Buddha lineage is destroying the Hearers, etc. The reason for attaining the fruit of Buddhahood itself is generating the mind, etc. The perfections are giving, etc. The opposing aspects are stinginess, etc., that is, not generating that kind of mind. Thinking of having form, etc., refers to eye consciousness, etc. Not generating it is because one sees that what is to be known is the manifestation of one's own mind. The perfections are giving, etc., and its collection is that each of giving, etc., includes all giving, etc. Its knowledge is realization. All perfections are the excellent and the definitely good. Hearing it is the best attainment. Truly complete enlightenment is non-dual wisdom. Being close to it is being close by being free from views of grasping, etc. By "Jambudvipa," etc., it is spread by increasing in that way. The merit increase just mentioned, the sixteen kinds of complete freedom, is realized by being manifest, and that completeness is non-discriminating wisdom, and its characteristics are its nature. Certainty is omniscience, and the ultimate perfection of all three is saying "sentient beings," etc. The explanation of the verses is, it is "now," etc. By the power of truly skillful means, it refers to the power of faith, etc. Like that

Furthermore, as previously stated, attaining Buddhahood at the stage of realizing non-conceptualization through the sequence of merit is to constantly and continuously generate compassion and love, etc., for the benefit of others at all times. That is to say, it is to become the master of the nature that can directly realize these compassion and love, etc. Therefore, by its power, the characteristic of not abandoning the benefit of sentient beings is the cause of benefiting others constantly and continuously at all times. As it is said, etc., even if there is no action, one does not turn back from benefiting others by the power of merit. Therefore, even if those who practice selflessness attain Bodhi, it is still with the fruit of meritorious deeds. This is what is meant. Thus, with a definite and conclusive statement, it is said that the three qualities of accomplishing all-knowing wisdom are perfected, which is to say that the Dharma is revealed and becomes stable therein. The mind with this characteristic is the ever-abiding mind, which is not abandoning the non-conceptual mind as previously stated. The ever-abiding mind refers to the four continents, etc., that are mentioned. The four continents refer to the four continents and the moon, etc. Corresponding to them are the small thousand worlds, the intermediate thousand worlds, and the great thousand worlds, which have been mentioned before. Taking these as examples, the merit and wisdom of Samadhi are the remaining parts. Because of the vast merit, any Samadhi is an ever-abiding mind, which is universally proclaimed. The explanation of the verses is stated starting from "discipline," etc. If one holds onto conditioned phenomena, that is to say, if there is a measurable phenomenon, things can be measured with a scale. In this way, it cannot be measured by the measure of those who see this shore. However, it is measured and thoroughly examined by taking all-knowing wisdom as the measure. Therefore, know that this is for the purpose of establishing the meaning of the ever-abiding mind. This is what is said about the four continents, etc., which is the three-thousand great-thousand world system corresponding to the four continents, etc., that is, the world realms of the small-thousand world, the intermediate-thousand world, and the great-thousand world. The so-called "perfection of the other shore, etc.," refers to generosity, etc. The word "etc." includes compassion.
