It is well distinguished by establishment, but the three omniscient ones are said to be not like that, because they are the very nature of peace. In the Ornament of Realization, a treatise on the instructions of the Perfection of Wisdom, the explanation of the difficult-to-understand appearances of the Lion Good One's treatise, written by Dharmakirti, the explanation of the fourth chapter's commentary is completed. Commentary on the Fifth Chapter Where there is no effort and no mindfulness, there one should think with effort, but not in other places, because it abides spontaneously. In the manner of the perfections, from one to another, the generation of the mind, etc., in the order of meditation, where there is no effort, there effort should be abandoned, and where that is not, there effort should be made. Thus, by meditating on the meaning of the four chapters, with the order of explaining that one possesses the knowledge that all aspects, paths, and bases are without arising, for the sake of the meaning to be meditated upon, one should also realize the ultimate path of the most excellent from that. In order to show that, it is said, "From the complete realization of all aspects." If one possesses the knowledge that all aspects, paths, and bases are without arising, what will happen? The answer is: the ultimate path of the most excellent will arise. There is the ultimate path of the most excellent here. By meditating on the peak realization of effort and non-effort, spontaneous wisdom will arise. That is the remaining meaning. From the peak realization, in order to make the cause of explaining the signs, etc., easy to understand at first, it is said, "Even in dreams," etc., because one is extremely familiar with the explanation made with the words of signs such as dreams, etc. When one meditates on the path of selflessness with reverence, etc., with a slight power of excellence, one sees only in the state of not being asleep, so not only does one see forms and other phenomena as dreams and illusions, but also in other places, in the state of being impaired by sleep. After that, "Listeners," etc., similarly, those who possess the most excellent intelligence see that other paths are without essence.

For the sake of... The term "Tathagata" and so on, is because, in that way, one sees no difference between Buddha and Bodhisattvas, etc., from one's own mind. The term "of the Buddha" and so on, is because, in that way, the body and so on are light, and one sees things like walking in the sky, which is in accordance with one's own and others' practice. The term "preacher" and so on, is because, in that way, one is reproached for being inferior, because there is no abandonment. The term "hell-beings" and so on, is because, in that way, one's own mind is pure, and one's own Buddha-field is pure. By remembering it, hell and so on are purified, because it is not different from one's own mind. The term "city" and so on, is because one has learned inconceivable skillful means, and inconceivable abilities are perfected. The term "yaksha" and so on, is because, in that way, one has completely abandoned grasping and so on. The term "one's own" and so on, is because, in that way, diligence in being superior through the wisdom of direct perception is not something that can be traversed by demons, and therefore one relies on a true spiritual friend. The term "in all ways" and so on, is because, in that way, permanence and self and so on are without essence, and therefore, by subduing the beings of external and internal heretics, one learns the meaning of the excellent meaning and the superior points of the scriptures, such as the meaning of the sutras such as the hundred thousand verses. The term "for all" and so on, is because, in that way, there is no thought of grasping and so on. The term "of the Buddha" and so on, is because, in that way, the thought is immaculate. The term "the distinction of the time of attaining the peak realization" refers to the wisdom of the peak realization that is spontaneously accomplished. The term "is a sign" refers to the signs and so on of the yogi of the peak realization. Here, the timid mind should be held, and agitation should also be calmed. As it is said, for all meditation, the timid mind is the appearance of mindfulness. Desire and conceptual thoughts, etc., are in order for agitation...
