Because it does not exist in between either. So, what is Prajñāpāramitā? In that way, since samsara and nirvana do not exist at the edge and in the middle, one does not abide in samsara and peace. It is said that not being attached to samsara and nirvana is Prajñāpāramitā. This explains "Prajñā" and so on. The mother of the Bodhisattvas is explained from the perspective of following, and from the opposite perspective, what the Shravakas and others do not have is "Sarvajñāna" and so on. The so-called "state of Sarvajñāna" means that it is shown by reversing the assumption of Sarvajñāna as the object, so it is explained from the perspective of reversing the understanding from the Bodhisattva. Because the Shravakas and others do not have the knowledge of equality in the three times, that is, they do not know that the things existing in the three times are unborn. The so-called being far from the true Prajñāpāramitā means that the wisdom without attachment to everything is abandoned far away, because it is the nature of knowing that the things of the three times are unborn. In that way, it is only self-realization, because the nature of one's own awareness is separated from the compassion and wisdom of Prajñāpāramitā. Because seeing things in nirvana is frightening. Because nirvana is the nature of annihilation, and samsara similarly passes from one delusion to another, therefore it abides and manifests the generation of the view of permanence. Why is that? Because of clinging to things and non-things. Because that tenet is permanent, the thing that exists in the ultimate sense is nirvana. In the manner of impermanence and so on, those are to be abandoned, so samsara is a non-thing. Those are known by clinging. Or, because reality itself is inverted, the things such as form are truly existent in the ultimate sense. If reality does not exist, then one clings to its impermanence and so on as non-things, it should be understood in this way.

According to Nigama, the Shravakas and others who have characteristics are bound to be attached to certain things, so even if they have the Prajnaparamita, they will still decline. The explanation of the verses in the text, such as "from reason" and the answers such as "together with its name," is easy to understand. "Recognizing that things have characteristics" means that for things that appear to be attached to the coarse signs of delusion, which have similarities and are transmitted from one to another, such as form, etc., are distinguished. Or, because it arises from a collection, it distinguishes form, etc., as having the cause of the deluded signs of attachment to things. "For those who do not understand the essence of things" in the scriptures refers to those who do not understand the inverted nature of form, etc. The wisdom of its equality is the wisdom of the unborn form, etc. The explanation of "because it is not a means" in the scriptures is an explanation of "because it is not a means, it is far away." The explanation of "Bodhisattva from a long time" in the scriptures is an explanation of "That is the one who is skilled in means." The antidote to the Shravakas, etc., the uncommon qualities of the Bodhisattvas, etc., such as the Shravakas, etc., are mentioned as "such Shravakas, etc." Thus, the order of the Shravakas, etc., mentioned below, proves that the mother Prajnaparamita becomes distant, because it cannot be obtained, so it is a reversed habit, therefore, those antidotes are what the Bodhisattvas, etc., should abandon, therefore, it is an uncommon quality, as the noble Maitreya Bodhisattva said about the uncommon quality. The meaning of the verses "form, etc." in the scriptures is that "form, etc." are mentioned, the defiled of ordinary beings, and the undefiled of the noble ones, and the nature of both, that is, the ordinary beings who have abandoned one aspect of affliction, are the assembly that is free from desire. All the dharmas of the three times, such as form, etc., have not been regarded as real by its treatises.

Due to clinging to the notion that things themselves are truly existent, one should know what form and so on are. Therefore, one should view the aggregates of form and so on themselves as emptiness, that is, the self and what belongs to the self that are imputed by others. Giving and so on, that is, giving and discipline and so on, the aspects of enlightenment, and the four concentrations. For these, the so-called thought of practice, that is, clinging to the notion of selflessness, is the antidote for the Hearers and so on, it is the path. Why? Because arising from reversal, it is entering into the opposite state from the ordinary beings who cling to the self and so on. Thus, the side of the antidote of the Hearers and so on just mentioned is the unfavorable side for the Bodhisattvas. Why? Because arising from reversal, it is what should be abandoned. Or, since form and so on are not truly existent, viewing form and so on as emptiness and so on is also what should be abandoned by the Bodhisattvas. It should be said like this. The Bodhisattvas' reversal and so on are easy to understand. By preventing seeing and so on. It means that the sutra prohibits that eye consciousness and so on are what should be realized. Therefore, the nature is difficult to realize. Because it is not an object to be realized by worldly measure, therefore, knowing that all phenomena are unborn, not clinging to all things that should be abandoned and should be accepted is the unfavorable side of the Bodhisattvas, therefore it should be abandoned. Understand it like this. In this way, with the unfavorable side and so on, the application is explained. With all phenomena such as form and so on, the meaning of the summary is shown. Practice is to strive to learn the selflessness of form and so on. Its complete knowledge is the near attainment. By way of eliminating it, it is because the true existence is prevented by non-form and so on. The Bodhisattvas' application to this and that is not clinging to form and so on, that is, the self.
