Non-reliance on names and characteristics is non-attachment. The explanation of its names and characteristics is complete. Focusing on that very nature is contemplating all dharmas as emptiness. The absence of complete understanding is the absence of an object of focus. Possessing correct knowledge is perception itself. Because of its absence, it is the nature of non-perception. If there is attachment to the dharmas of things and non-attachment, how can they exist if these two are absent? Think in this way. The term "patience" itself is meaningful, as it has been mentioned, such as "in that way." In that way, those who possess the object of focus and aspect of patience do not have bad destinies, as it is said in the Abhidharma: "Having attained patience, one does not go to bad destinies." It is said that a Bodhisattva who has attained patience, like an ordinary being, does not have the three bad destinies such as hell. Because of patience towards the great Dharma. It is said that patience towards the absence of form, etc., is included in agreeable patience, which has three aspects. The object of focus and three aspects of the most excellent root of virtue belonging to the Dharma are what are taught, such as Samadhi. Shouldn't it be reasonable to show the subject of Dharma in all of the objects of focus, etc.? If it is said that it is not reasonable to meditate only by being firm in the Dharma, then it has been mentioned that the object of focus is impermanent, etc., because there, the Dharma and the subject of Dharma exist, and in others, the meaning is shown by the difference of words. If there is a word that can express the Dharma and the subject of Dharma with distinction, then if that word is able to express the object of focus, then here the object of focus is only a representation, so the meaning is that the object of focus and the aspect are also spoken with distinct words. It is said that the aspect prevents attachment, etc. In this way, the subject of Dharma of the aspect and the object of focus is said everywhere as if it were universally drawn, which shows that it is in accordance with the part of determination, and it is shown from the distinction of expression. In that case, is it possible to realize the subject of Dharma by speaking of the Dharma there? It is said that other distinctions have been mentioned, and other distinctions are different kinds.

The abandoning and non-abandoning, apart from being contradictory and non-contradictory, there is actually no difference between these dharmas and entities possessing dharma, because this arises from reasoning. If it is indeed the case that there is a difference between dharma and entities possessing dharma, then things in general will not change either, because they are independent of each other. Therefore, just like the tree itself, here too, wherever the objects and aspects belonging to the Four Noble Truths are not mentioned, it is established that they belong there through non-contradiction. If both dharma and entities possessing dharma do not exist, they will not arise, so this refutation is completely untenable. In reality, relying on the Four Noble Truths is because it is said "in one way." Or, the so-called "for the sake of poetic composition," because of the fear of contradicting the poetic composition, even if it is said to be different, it is completely derived from the entity possessing dharma—the truth. Using words such as "aspect manifestation attachment" to distinguish, if the difference between the objects and aspects of dharma is stated, then the truths such as suffering are entities possessing dharma, and only the objects and aspects belonging there are dharma, one should understand this explanation of the commentators. Why? Because, for the self and others that hinder the manifestation of attachment, the so-called "truly free from arising and ceasing," whether sequentially or simultaneously, it is impossible to carry out meaningful activities, because examining one's own nature with valid cognition is like a rabbit's horn, empty of establishment and refutation. Because manifestation attachment and others do not exist in conventional and ultimate truths, the self and others cannot be the basis, in reality there is only reliance on the truth. This refers to existence in the conventional truth. For the following situations, it should be understood in the same way. That is, wherever only dharma is relied upon, it should be known that only the Four Noble Truths are entities possessing dharma in the manner described earlier. The four kinds of conceptualization are, having said "basis" etc., there are two kinds of apprehending conceptualization, from where do they arise? Basis, that is, one existence.
