The term "is" refers to the fact that this is the nature of dependent arising, which is solely of the nature of conditions, and is the cause in the conventional truth. The meaning of appearance is that the objects apprehended by eye consciousness and so forth are objects that are defined as characteristics of dissimilar sides. Therefore, solitude is particularly excellent, because it is the very appearance that distinguishes the three realms, and it is a distinction of the superior mind. Its characteristic of being an antidote is that the subsequent consciousness that appears as its antidote, that is, the later arising Bodhi, when the mind of realization arises, it becomes the attainment of Bodhi, because it is reasonable to abandon afflictions together with their imprints. As it is said in the Ornament of the Middle Way: "The wise, having accustomed themselves to the selflessness of phenomena, having accustomed themselves to the absence of inherent existence, abandon without remainder the afflictive obscurations that arise from perversion." As it is said. And again, in the same text: "Because the entities of cause and effect are undeniable in the conventional truth, the establishment of defilement, purification, etc., is without confusion." As it is said. And also in the Distinguishing the Middle from the Extremes, it is said: "The obscuration of afflictions and the obscuration of knowable objects, these are taught as all obscurations, and liberation is said to be when they are exhausted." As it is declared. Thus, by the example of the lamp, in reality, cause and effect themselves are not permissible, therefore it is an approximate demonstration of Bodhi in the conventional truth. In other places also, the eight meanings difficult to realize spoken by the Bhagavan should be accomplished by the virtuous ones. In order to show this, the words "is" and so forth, as mentioned above, are spoken. The words "arising" and so forth are an explanation of the words of the characteristic of non-retrogression for the sake of abiding on the path of cultivation, which are the words "instant" and so forth. What is to be realized by cultivation is what is to be attained. The particularly excellent meaning is the Bodhi that is not common to the Hearers and so forth. To generate that is to familiarize. The former and latter instants and so forth are not suitable as the former, and by the very absence of inherent existence, it is not suitable as the former, this is the second reason. Thus, dependent arising

And "very obvious" and "inconceivable," etc., the practitioner's profound wisdom should also be combined with all seven meanings mentioned below. Because things do not arise in their own nature, they should not truly cease. Therefore, saying that cessation is "all things," etc. Because of being accustomed to correct and incorrect meanings, and possessing the ability to directly realize them, one cannot directly realize Suchness. Therefore, it is said "in all circumstances," etc. Because giving, etc., have no self-nature, it is not appropriate to establish giving, etc., by clinging to giving, etc., which are the objects to be grasped of giving, etc. Therefore, it is said "is Suchness," etc. Because of the absence of inherent existence, there are no phenomena such as form, etc., to be grasped. Therefore, its consciousness, such as eye consciousness, etc. Therefore, it is said "is Suchness," etc. Because it is emptiness, there is no generation of Bodhicitta, etc., and no other practice. Therefore, conduct is the practice of generating Bodhicitta, etc. Therefore, it is said "is the nature of Dharma," etc. Because forms, etc., appear in two ways, it is not appropriate to understand them as non-dual. Therefore, the absence of objects to be grasped, etc., is non-duality. Therefore, it is said "is non-dual," etc. Because of the complete perfection of the accumulation of compassion, etc., one becomes a Buddha, etc. Having attained fearlessness, one is skillful in means, i.e., not discouraged, etc. Therefore, it is said "all accumulations," etc. Because interdependent arising, etc., are mutually contradictory meanings, the path of the Bodhisattva, which is difficult to realize, is the very wisdom that truly establishes them. Therefore, profound wisdom is said to be "inconceivable wisdom," etc. This is the realm only of those who have attained Samadhi, and not of others. Therefore, the Blessed One's intention is that from seeing the other shore, faith alone is best here. By what does one lead?
