They believe that by not observing the form of destruction, one can understand the forms of permanence and impermanence, etc., through the power arising in the realm of the Four Noble Truths. According to the views of the Shravakas and other schools, whatever is the Dharma of impermanence and suffering, and whatever is the knowledge of them, that is the forbearance of the Dharma-knowledge of suffering and the Dharma-knowledge of suffering; whatever are the consequences of emptiness and selflessness, and whatever is the knowledge of them, those are the forbearance of the subsequent Dharma-knowledge and the subsequent Dharma-knowledge. Similarly, for each of the origin, etc., four knowledges are combined, so there are sixteen knowledges. Others say that here, too, it should be understood that knowledge is also known in the form of the Four Noble Truths, through the power of the meaning of the forms of impermanence, etc., arising in the realm of the Four Noble Truths. This is to say that "having such a form" and so on have already been mentioned. In the presence of the noble Maitreya and Sanghabhadra, it was said that even if the knowledge and forms of all three of my realms are not shown, what I have not shown also comes through its power, and this is also meaningful. Because knowledge is also in the form of an object, it is a valid measure for those who say that external objects exist and that there is knowledge, so there is no fault. If it is said that, just as in understanding the path, there are no separate paths of meditation for Shravakas and Bodhisattvas in understanding everything, then "in understanding everything" and so on have already been mentioned. The meaning is this: the perfections of Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas are seen and transcended by the wisdom of Bodhisattvas, and because they are not objects of manifestation, the path of meditation is shown to Bodhisattvas, while for Shravakas and others, because the meaning of how to fully see is itself repeatedly manifested, it is the path of meditation, so it is easy to understand, and therefore it is not shown. Those that correspond to the definitive aspects of Bodhisattvas should also be known to be what was said before. When Shravakas and others focus on the Four Noble Truths with forms such as impermanence, etc., because the warmth, etc., of the nature of contaminated meditation are obvious, they should be understood without being shown.
