In order to abandon views along with their imprints, the teaching of the Dharma is itself a great renunciation. Having abandoned all defilements such as desire, one also realizes enlightenment, therefore it is a great realization. Those three, that is, the three great natures, whoever they may be, for the sake of those great natures, entering into practice in order to attain them, thereby the spontaneously arising wisdom gradually increases, one should know that the purpose of the complete and perfect Buddhas, etc., is threefold. As in "in all ways," etc., in all ways, for those who cannot ascertain the goer, the mind of realization and the afflictions along with their imprints have been abandoned, and because it is impossible to know things that are limited by time and place, therefore the Hearers, etc., do not possess these three great natures, one should understand it thus. Because it is not merely abandoning the afflictions of desire. Bodhisattvas are not truly superior to the Buddhas, because they have the potential to attain the qualities of the Buddhas. Possessing this thought, therefore it is said that the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are self-arisen, there is no fault. If asked: What is the difference between an object and a purpose? The present is the object, which exists nearby. The future is the purpose, which is distant, and this is in accordance with the noble liberated group's arrow loading, hitting the target, and the Dharma. Having stated the basis, object, and purpose, such as that which has become the basis of practice, if asked: Then what is the nature of that practice itself? The answer is: The so-called "object of the three omniscient ones," etc., refers to the noble four truths, etc. Universally, that is, everything that is universally manifest, is the basis of virtuous qualities, that is, abiding in the realm of Dharma. The so-called "all-aspects of manifestation," etc., for each manifestation among the four manifestations, that is, each of the realizations to be meditated upon, etc. The so-called "possessing the basis of the six perfections," that is, the actions of relying on generosity, etc., and putting them into practice is practice. The manifestation of the Dharmakaya is naturally white and has no place to abide.

Therefore, it was not said. Having thus established the practice, one should declare the characteristics of each, therefore, "as it is" refers to the order of combination, seeing, meditation, and the path of distinction, which are explained below. The nature of these four is the nature of practice, such as armor, etc., among those explained below, it is the nature of diligence, and it is the nature of being fond of virtuous deeds, therefore, the practice of armor is first taught. Giving, etc., that is, giving and discipline, etc. There are six aspects, with those gathered separately. The saying "with those gathered separately" is because those giving, etc., themselves belong to their respective categories. What is the practice of armor? It is to undertake the vow of meaningful affairs only from the beginning until enlightenment. That is, as it is said, with the three wheels pure, etc., from the three mothers, with six groups of six, one should know that thirty-six kinds are taught as they are. The meaning of the verse is that it mentions the so-called Dharma giving, etc., because it does not depend on enjoyment, one can truly uphold the discipline. By guarding the discipline, one will have patience. If one can endure fatigue, one can initiate diligence. If one is free from laziness, one can perfect meditation. Perfect meditation can attain transcendental wisdom, therefore, it is shown by the order of understanding giving, etc. Among them, the Dharma giving, etc., of the Bodhisattva, the giving of Dharma and wealth is very vast, and the mind such as "one should tame oneself alone" is the attention of the Hearers. And what is included by the word "etc." is the attention to the impermanence of things, etc., abandoning it is discipline. When all people speak unpleasant words, it is to speak of rebukes, etc. Enduring it is patience. Desire is to manifestly want good. What is generated by it is diligence. The single-pointed mind that is not mixed with other vehicles is different from the path of the Hearers, etc., focusing on not focusing on all dharmas is meditation.
