Because self-nature itself is separated from the support of characteristics such as form, therefore, contemplating that form and so on are without support is to be manifestly attached to the existence of form and so on in conventionality. Not believing in it is not being attached to manifestation. The self-characteristics of form and so on are what was said before, which are its characteristics. Not relying on its characteristics is not being attached to manifestation. Its characteristics, and so on, have already been explained. Contemplating that very nature is contemplating all dharmas as emptiness. Not completely knowing it is having no object of focus. Having true wisdom is consciousness itself. Because it does not exist, it is the absence of consciousness. If manifest attachment and non-attachment to the dharma of things do not exist, then how can it exist? This is what is meant. What is called forbearance, which is endowed with meaning, is what has been said, such as "if it is so." If it is so, then for those who have the object and aspect of forbearance, there will be no bad destinies, because it is said in the scriptures: "Those who have attained forbearance do not go to bad destinies." This means that bodhisattvas who have attained forbearance, like ordinary beings, do not have the three bad destinies of hell and so on. Because of forbearance towards the great dharma. What is called "because of forbearance towards the great dharma" is because of forbearance towards the absence of form and so on, which belongs to pleasing forbearance, there are three aspects. The object and three aspects of the root of virtue that belongs to the supreme of dharma are what are said to be samadhi and so on. Should not the subject of dharma also be shown everywhere in the object and so on? If it is only stable in dharma, then cultivation is not reasonable, if you say so. It has been said that the object is impermanent and so on, because it has been said that "except for" and so on, there is dharma and the possessor of dharma, because for others, the meaning is shown by the difference of words. If the words of dharma and the possessor of dharma are expressed in particular, then that word is used to express the object, if you say so, here the object is only an approximate representation, therefore the meaning is this: the expression of the object and aspect is also with special words, through "stopping the appearance of attachment to aspects" and so on, to express the aspects.

I am certain that, just as the object of observation, the dharma-possessor, is guided everywhere, everything has been explained, and this is shown by the exposition that accords with the aspect of ascertainment. Even so, is it because the dharma is spoken of there that the dharma-possessor is realized? Because "other distinctions" and so forth have been spoken of. Other distinctions are dissimilar categories. Abandoning and not abandoning them, apart from negation and non-negation, for these, there is actually no difference between dharma and dharma-possessor, because this arises from reason, and this is explained by the reasoning of the treatise. If that is indeed the case, then if there is a difference between dharma and dharma-possessor, then things in general will not change, because there is no individuality. Therefore, just as this is like the tree itself, here too, wherever the object and aspect belonging to the Four Noble Truths have not been spoken of, even there, by way of non-negation, those are said to belong there. If both dharma and dharma-possessor are absent, then it is impossible to arise, so this debater is of no use whatsoever. In reality, relying on the Four Noble Truths is said to be one way. Or, for the sake of the composition of verses, even if it is said to be different for fear of contradicting the composition of verses, it should be guided from the dharma-possessor truth. Differentiating the object and the aspect of the dharma with words such as "manifestation of appearance," even so, the truths such as suffering are dharma-possessors, and only the object and aspect belonging there are dharma, and what the commentators say should be understood. Why? Because the self and so on that prevent the manifestation of attachment and so on are actually separated from birth and destruction, and it is not appropriate to do the work of meaning, whether in sequence or simultaneously, and examining one's own nature with such a measure is like a rabbit's horn, empty of establishment and refutation. Because manifestation of attachment and so on do not exist in conventional and ultimate reality, the self and so on should not be a support, but in reality, it is dependent on the truth. It is intended to exist in conventional truth. The following etc.
