The term "ground" refers to the fifteen moments of the mind on the path of seeing, distinguished by following faith and dharma, that is, those who follow faith and wisdom attain the first fruit, which is said to be the attainment of the stream-enterer fruit, possessing both dull and sharp faculties, namely, knowing for a long time and knowing quickly. Thereafter, not being separated from desire and attachment in the desire realm, one attains the stream-enterer fruit in sixteen moments of the mind. Thereafter, having completely abandoned the four types of afflictions on the path of cultivation, from the lineage of gods and humans to birth in another lineage, there are two other types, namely, being born among gods and humans two or three times, hearing from the lineage of gods to another lineage, and being born from the lineage of humans to another lineage, that is, being born into a lineage. Thereafter, dull and sharp faculties are obtained through faith and seeing, possessing faith and wisdom, having abandoned the five afflictions that operate in the desire realm, one enters the second fruit, that is, possessing the attainment of the once-returner fruit, which is only one. Thereafter, having abandoned the six types of afflictions that operate in the desire realm, one is the once-returner fruit. Thereafter, since only one birth remains among the gods, one is the other severed one. Thereafter, having abandoned the seventh and eighth afflictions that operate in the desire realm, one enters the third fruit, that is, possessing the attainment of the non-returner fruit. Obtaining through faith and seeing is the same as before, it is only one, that is, in the second and third fruits obtained through faith and seeing, it is said to be obtained through faith and seeing. The extensive explanation should be understood as being due to the power of the scriptures. Thereafter, having abandoned the ninth affliction that operates in the desire realm, there are five types of non-returners, where the intermediate state and so forth are mentioned, having abandoned the attachment to birth, but not having abandoned the attachment to manifestation, therefore, at the time of accomplishing the intermediate existence, or at the time of accomplishment, having directly realized the path in the intermediate existence, one obtains the end of suffering, that is, one completely

That is, entering into nirvana. Because the two kinds of pervasive attachment have not been abandoned, one is born in the realm of form and attains the cessation of suffering, which is entering into nirvana after birth. Similarly, after being born, one attains the path of manifestation through active conceptualization, and thus attains the cessation of suffering, which is entering into nirvana through active conceptualization. Conversely, it is entering into nirvana without active conceptualization, there are four types in total, plus upward rebirth there are five types. That is, going to the limit of Akanishta, and going to the limit of the peak of existence, there are two types in total. Below that, the one who is reborn upwards goes to the limit of Akanishta, which is leaping, half-leaping, and entering Akanishta through death at all times and places, these are the other three types of upward rebirth. Below that, the one who is reborn upwards goes to the limit of the peak of existence. For those who are free from desire for the realm of form, there are two types, namely, pacification in the present life, and realization with the body, these are the other two types. Below that, abandoning the eighth affliction of the peak of existence is entering the fruit of Arhat. Below that, focusing only on the Vinaya Pitaka of the Hearers, and realizing one's own path, one becomes a Pratyekabuddha when no Buddha appears in the world, thus there are twenty types in total. Here, because it is easy to understand, the number of those who enter the first, second, and fourth fruits is not mentioned. Thus, in the "Sutra of the Wheel of Non-Regression", the "Twenty-Five Thousand Verses", and the "Abhidharma", for "Those fifteen moments, the path of seeing is because of seeing what has not been seen", etc., it is explained with reasoning and numbers, and should not be misunderstood. The beginner who thus obtains the oral instructions, that is, here, in order to perfectly accumulate the accumulation of merit, and in order to accomplish the accumulation of wisdom, one should regard it as entering for the purpose of completely purifying the ground of practice with the intention of renunciation for countless eons. The four kinds of conceptualizations of the noble Bodhisattva protectors, such as warmth, will be explained below.
