For the form and formless, observing the external forms, these two liberations are the antidote to overcome the obscuration of illusion. For the beautiful form and the unbeautiful form, sequentially generating liking and disliking afflictions towards the illusion, in order to counteract these afflictions, personally experiencing and perfecting the gate of liberation of ugliness through the body, abiding in this, this is one liberation. Thus, there are three types of liberation gates. On the path of dwelling happily in the present life, the nature of the path corresponding to liberation has four states of formless absorption, and the nature of the path of peaceful dwelling has one state of cessation of perception and feeling, thus there are five types. On the transcendental path, there are four meditations, formless absorptions, and cessation absorption, totaling nine. On the path of abandonment, the aspect of the uninterrupted path is encompassed by the four truths, possessing the four characteristics of not being associated with afflictions. On the path of the Buddha himself, there are ten perfections such as generosity. Thus, for Bodhisattvas, there are thirty-four aspects of the basis of the path of knowing the path itself. The aspect of omniscience is unique and unsurpassed because it is extremely excellent. Among them are the possible and impossible, the ripening of karma, various aspirations, multiple realms, superior and non-superior faculties, the path that goes everywhere, afflictions, purification, remembering past lives, death and rebirth, and the ten aspects of the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. 'I am the Buddha,' thus pledging oneself, and saying that attachment and so on are obstacles, and skillfully showing that the path of understanding everything and so on is definitely arising, and because there is no one to refute the exhaustion of one's own defilements, therefore there are four aspects of fearlessness. And the names, the nature of the Dharma, the language of the place, and the object of distinguishing the Dharma, sequentially are the Dharma, the meaning, the definitive word, and the respective unimpeded eloquence.

Four aspects (of non-regression): confusion, clamor, loss of mindfulness, lack of mental focus, having thoughts of various differences, and the equanimity of non-discrimination, these six aspects are not possessed; and the six aspects of not regressing from desire, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, wisdom, and liberation; the activities of body, speech, and mind, all preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom, are the three aspects; for the past, future, and present, the three aspects of wisdom that are unattached and unobstructed. Thus, the eighteen unshared qualities of the Buddha, as well as the suchness spoken by all Buddhas, and the self-arising that is independent over all dharmas, and the three aspects of the Buddha who manifestly and completely awakens to all aspects. Thus, the aspects of the basis of the path of the omniscient knowledge of the Buddhas are thirty-nine. Among them, the aspect of all-knowing is, according to the distinction between Hearers and Bodhisattvas, successively uncontaminated and contaminated. The aspect of the knowledge of the path is only contaminated because Bodhisattvas have not completely abandoned their afflictions. The aspect of the path of all-aspects-knowing is only uncontaminated because the perfectly complete Buddha has abandoned all afflictions, including the predispositions of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, and is independent over all dharmas. If all aspects are combined, there are one hundred and seventy-three aspects. If the aspects are to be cultivated with special yogas, then it cannot be said that there is no yogi, therefore there is the yogi of the vessel of hearing and so on. Especially honoring the Buddhas, generating roots of virtue in them, possessing the protector of virtuous friends, this is the vessel of hearing. Approaching the Buddhas, universally asking questions, practicing giving, discipline, and so on, the noble ones consider this to be the vessel of receiving and so on. Thus it is said, for the Buddhas of the past and present, generally generating and cultivating roots of virtue, and likewise,
