Being harmed by demons, not believing in the profound Dharma, clinging to things, and associating with bad friends are the causes of non-arising. Having thus explained the causes of obtaining and not obtaining, in the present context, the general purity is: The pure result is form, etc., purity itself, for what reason? These two are not different, because they are indivisible, they are said to be pure. Thus it is said. The fruit of the noble person's practice, being separated from all its incompatible aspects, is purity itself, and form, etc., are also pure. The purity of the fruit and form, etc., is because they are completely separated from clinging to form, etc., as self. For what reason are their purities not different and indivisible? Because the characteristics of self and generality are not different, therefore it is said to be pure in this way. After generally speaking of purity, now it is specifically: The purity of the afflictions, knowable, and three paths, due to the decline of the learners, solitary realizers, and princes, etc., and the Buddhas are all extremely pure. Thus it is said. Afflictions such as desire, and the conceptualizations of meaning taken as the same aspect of that and the obscurations of knowledge, and because of abandoning the three obscurations of the three vehicles of the path, are the purity of the Hearers, Solitary Realizers, and Bodhisattvas in order. Having abandoned all afflictions and obscurations of knowledge together with their predispositions, the extremely pure, arising from the realm of Dharma, is considered to be the unsurpassed Buddha. In the context of understanding the path, incidentally mentioning purity, the purity of the Buddhas and Hearers, etc., in order, is extreme purity and another purity, what is that like? On the nine grounds is the great, the great, etc., of defilements, the antidote of the small and small, etc., the path is pure. Thus it is said. The realm of desire, meditative stabilization, and the formless absorptions, etc., are the nine grounds, and the antidote of the nine types of the great and great, etc., of incompatible aspects.

In its own nature, the nine aspects such as the small of the small in sequence, and on the other hand, because it is the cause of purification, it is called the extremely pure and the other aspect. How is it extremely pure? It is said: By abandoning disputes, the path can measure and be measured, by equality, it is desired to be the antidote to the three realms. It is said that the antidote is the great of the great, etc., and the unfavorable aspects are the small of the small, etc., and the dispute should be distinguished as such. For example, as a washerman exerts effort to scrub away the fine dirt attached to clothes, the path of meditation through the gate of abandonment is the extremely pure as stated. The knowledge and knowable of the three realms, with the equality of non-objectification, is the very nature of all antidotes, hence it is established as the Buddha's extremely pure. Commentary on the second chapter of the Prajñāpāramitā Upadeśa Śāstra, the Ornament of Clear Realization. Commentary on the third chapter If one does not completely know all bases, then one cannot completely know the path well, therefore it is all-knowing. Not on this shore or the other shore, nor dwelling between the two, because knowing all times are equal, therefore it is called the perfection of wisdom. It is said that because of realizing the equality of the unborn nature of the dharmas of the three times, whatever Prajñāpāramitā is desired to be close to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, is with wisdom on this shore of samsara, and with compassion on the other shore of nirvana, in sequence, the nature of permanence and annihilation, and also not dwelling between the two, therefore not dwelling in existence and peace. It is explained in a way that is the opposite of the chapter on all-knowingness, because the Śrāvakas and others do not know the equality of the three times, therefore they are far from the true Prajñāpāramitā, therefore it is only the Prajñāpāramitā of their own realization, because it is separated from compassion and wisdom, only by objectifying existence and non-existence, it should be known that they abide in samsara and nirvana.
