Therefore, there is no fault. In another case, aspiration is the pursuit of a goal, namely the desire to attain perfect and complete enlightenment, and the arising of the mind that accompanies it is explained as the meaning of that word, so that bodhisattvas may generate the mind with aspiration. Furthermore, what is the nature of what is desired, and for what purpose is the mind generated, namely perfect and complete enlightenment, and what is altruism? Just as the sutras say: It is spoken of in a concise and extensive manner. Thus it is said. From the mother of the Buddhas of the three times, it should also be known that all things such as prajnaparamita and generosity should be given, and that the giver, receiver, etc., should be realized as unattainable. All sentient beings are liberated from suffering as they should be, and wanting to make the miserly, etc., practice generosity, etc., therefore this prajnaparamita should be practiced, etc., with words that strive to proclaim it extensively, without contradicting the meaning of the sutras, in a concise and extensive manner, perfect and complete enlightenment and altruism are explained. Therefore, it should be known that the generation of the mind is the nature of wanting to attain perfect and complete enlightenment for the sake of others. Although all treatises strive to explain the meaning of the scriptures, the sources are not written down for fear of too many words. Thus, after speaking of the generation of the mind with its object and nature, now the twenty-two divisions of it are spoken of, the intermediate verses are: That vast gold moon fire, treasure and jewel source sea, vajra mountain medicine friend, wish-fulfilling jewel sun song, king storehouse great road, vehicle adorned water and, musical instrument river clouds, there are twenty-two kinds. Thus it is said. Namely, aspiration, intention, increased intention, application, generosity, discipline, patience, diligence, meditation, wisdom, skillful means, vow, strength, wisdom.

The perfections, supernormal knowledge, merit, wisdom, and Dharma that accords with the path to enlightenment, as well as compassion and insight, form, courage, the feast of Dharma, the one path, and those endowed with the Dharmakaya, are, in order: time, pure gold, the waxing moon, fire, a great treasure, the source of precious jewels, the great ocean, the vajra, the king of mountains, medicine, a virtuous friend, the wish-fulfilling jewel, the sun, the sweet sound of Dharma, the great king, the treasury, the great road, a vehicle, adorned water, beautiful sound, a river, and like a cloud, being the basis of all white dharmas, unchanging until enlightenment, causing all virtuous dharmas to increase, burning the firewood of the three obscurations of omniscience, satisfying all sentient beings, the basis of the qualities of precious jewels, not being disturbed when all undesirable things befall, unwavering in firm faith, unmoving from the object of focus, pacifying the diseases of afflictions and cognitive obscurations, never abandoning the benefit of sentient beings in all circumstances, accomplishing results as desired, maturing those to be tamed, teaching the Dharma desired by those to be tamed, accomplishing the benefit of others with unobstructed power, like a treasury of many accumulations of merit and wisdom, all noble ones have departed and followed after, easily going without falling into either samsara or nirvana, inexhaustible by holding the Dharma that has been heard and not heard, proclaiming sweetly to those to be tamed who desire liberation, performing the undifferentiated activities for the benefit of others, abiding in the Tushita heaven, and so on, counted as such because they can appear everywhere. Thus, it is like earth, gold, moon, fire, etc., which explains the twenty-two types of bodhicitta. Among them, the first three, namely small, medium, and large, summarize the ground of the beginner.

After that, one is included in the path of entering the first ground. After that, ten are included in the ten grounds such as Joyful, which are the objects of practice of the seeing path and the cultivation path. After that, five are included in the special path. After that, the three mind generations are included in the Buddha ground through the gates of preparation, actual practice, and conclusion. Thus, the differentiation of mind generation is included from the ground of the initial practitioner to the Buddha ground. Having mentioned the differentiation incidentally, the Bodhisattva who generates the first Bodhicitta and so on, strives for the generation of Bodhicitta as the time requires. For the sake of accomplishing the Dharma thrown by it, the precepts are instructions for the sake of protecting the attainment of virtues and for the sake of increasing them. Accomplishment and truths, the Three Jewels such as the Buddha, non-attachment, non-weariness, the path is completely held, the five eyes and the supernormal faculties, the six virtues and the seeing path, cultivation is called instruction, know that it is the nature of ten. Thus it is said. To accomplish the differentiation of Bodhicitta as it has been said, one should enter in a non-objective way, which is not common to the Hearers and others, because it does not deviate from the conventional and ultimate truths. Thus, teaching the accomplishment is instruction. In suffering, emptiness of form and so on that have become the fruit, and the Perfection of Wisdom and so on, those are of the same nature as suchness. In arising, emptiness and form and so on that have become the cause, by non-difference, form and so on are neither arising, nor cessation, nor the nature of being completely defiled and purified. In cessation, emptiness arises, cessation and complete defilement and purification, those who are separated from decline and increase, etc., there is no arising of formlessness to ignorance, no cessation of ignorance, no Buddha, and no Bodhi. On the path, generosity and other perfections and self.
