If there are such things, then, even without a cause, the cause and effect will arise and perish simultaneously in order, so there is a burner and a thing to be burned. Therefore, the first moment did not rely on the second moment to burn the essence, and the second moment did not rely on the first moment of the flame to burn the essence. This is like the example of a lamp, where the two moments, before and after, are closely connected to one object, and one strives to understand it. Just like the previous moment, relying on the previous consciousness that manifests a limited object, because it lacks the meaning of manifestation, it is possible to attain Bodhi by generating the subsequent consciousness that manifests a more excellent meaning. Just as the example mentioned earlier, the eight profound Dharmata should also be understood. In order to explain the characteristics of the irreversible Bodhisattvas who abide in the path of meditation, if asked where the eight profound things are, it is said in the sutra: Birth and cessation, suchness and knowable, knowledge and action and non-duality, skillful means are profound. It means that the previous and subsequent moments are neither existent nor without self-nature, but generate excellent meaning through meditation, which is dependent origination. All things are empty of self-nature from the very beginning, but they also perish in the conventional realm, which is cessation. In all circumstances, although suchness is familiar, it does not manifest, which is suchness. Following all the dharmas of the nature of suchness, such as giving and other forms, is the knowable. Seeing the non-seeing with the self-nature of suchness is seeing, which is knowledge. In terms of Dharma nature, non-action towards all things is action, which is action. Accomplishing everything in the non-dual self-nature is non-duality. Completing all accumulations, but not attaining the result, Buddhahood, is skillful means. This is the gate to obtaining inconceivable liberation.

Therefore, it is profound because it accomplishes meanings that contradict each other. The path of learning, along with the characteristics of the irreversible assembly, has been explained. Because the Dharma attained by the assembly of learners strives to attain Buddhahood, the reason for attaining Buddhahood is the equality of samsara and nirvana. Because all dharmas are like dreams, there is no distinction between existence and peace. The answers to accusations such as having no karma are as stated. It is said that samsara and purification are incompatible, and as antidotes, they are recognized as being like dreams with the nature of mere images. Therefore, there is no differentiation between samsara and nirvana, so it is equality. If it is like a dream, then the ten non-virtuous actions and generosity, etc., do not exist. Shouldn't it change like the state of being asleep even when not asleep? The answer to these accusations is: Just as the externalists say that things are destroyed without cause in an instant. And in the tenets it is also said: "The various worlds arise from karma." Therefore, in the ultimate truth, no one has killed anyone, nor has anyone not killed anyone. No one has taken anyone's wealth, nor has anyone not taken anyone's wealth. In these and other aspects, through the idea of generating killing, etc., which contradicts permanence, for those who have improper attention, killing and so on are established like non-virtuous actions. Similarly, although things are like dreams, for those whose inverted bonds have not disappeared, due to clinging to things of corresponding meaning, etc., it is said that those answers have already been given from other aspects, and this should be understood. Furthermore, "The mind of a dream is disturbed by sleep, therefore the results are not the same." Therefore, this analogy is not established. Similarly, if one practices virtue and non-virtue in a dream, and upon awakening, recalls and rejoices, saying, "Alas, I did this, I did well," then that subsequent mind is nourished by the sustenance of clinging. Therefore, this analogy is also not established, so samsara and nirvana are equality.
