The separate prevention of dwelling in words that accord with and subsequently accord with, and the abandonment of what is to be grasped and what grasps, just like the previous battle with the faculties and the dependent city, etc., the subsequent prevention of dwelling in accordance with and subsequently according with, these four are the aspects of cessation. By understanding the distinctions of generosity, etc., the separate prevention of dwelling in accordance with and subsequently according with miserliness and immoral ethics, etc., and because all dharmas are the nature of the three doors of liberation, not even a particle of dharma is perceived, and because of obtaining manifest faith, therefore, with the nature of the three of omniscient nature, one's own certainty of the three as they are, and by single-minded devotion, sacrificing life for the sake of the meaning of the dharma of all-knowingness, etc., these four are the aspects of the path. Thus, when these sixteen moments, which are included in forbearance and knowledge, are perfectly attained, then the pure worldling, having the aspect of not manifestly clinging to what is grasped and what grasps, being included by the subsequent mind, therefore, for the sake of generating results that are in accordance with oneself, reversing the perceptions of form, etc., therefore, because the Bodhisattva abides on the path of seeing, they are the characteristics of non-retrogression. The terminology of yogis is only in accordance with realization in all respects, except for the need to tame sentient beings, and it is explained by approximation in order to know this. If it were not so, how would the moments of self-awareness of each individual in the continuum of yogis be the characteristics that make others believe? After that, because of abiding on the path of meditation, it is the characteristic of non-retrogression, because if the distinction of the system is not taken, the wisdom of distinction will not arise, therefore, for the time being, the distinction of the path of meditation. The path of meditation is profound, profound emptiness, etc., the profound is liberation from the extremes of superimposition and denigration. Thus it is said, there is no form in emptiness, etc., and emptiness, etc., is not other than form, therefore, gradually from the extremes of superimposition and denigration on emptiness, etc.

What is the nature of profound? It is emptiness and so on. Because it possesses the nature of profound, the path of meditation is also profound. Having thus shown the distinctions, the basis of the distinctions, namely, the stages of ascertainment, the path of seeing, and the path of meditation itself, should be repeatedly contemplated, measured, and decisively considered. This is the path of meditation. It is said thus. The wisdom arising from hearing, thinking, and meditating, or the wisdom arising from the application, the actual, and the subsequent of samadhi, in sequence, repeatedly contemplating, measuring, and decisively considering the meaning of definitely seeing the three, such as the stages of ascertainment, is the continuous path of meditation. If asked, how many kinds are there? Answer: Because it is continuous, there are three kinds: small, medium, and large. Furthermore, by the distinctions of small of small, etc., it is established as nine kinds. It is said thus. Because the afflictions of Bodhisattvas are discriminations, as it is said: Extremely deep darkness is dispelled when the light is small, and the small is dispelled by the large. Thus, with the distinctions of large, medium, and small, each dispels the distinctions of large, medium, and small. Thus, in terms of the ultimate truth, with the nature of emptiness, from the distinctions of the antidotes to discrimination, according to their number, from the desire realm, etc., nine kinds continuously arise, therefore it is the path of meditation. In the Mother of the Victorious Ones, it is done with the distinctions of each and every one, because it is said that immeasurable, countless, and boundless merits are born, are there not many distinctions? If asked, how are there nine kinds? Answer: The teachings of immeasurable, etc., are not permissible in the ultimate truth, but in the conventional truth, the Able One declares those that are of the same kind as great compassion. It is said thus. With the immeasurable, countless, and boundless that are taught, in terms of the nature of words, in the ultimate truth, the path of meditation and the nature as previously stated are truly of one meaning.
