and not associating with dullness, excitement, regret, doubt, etc., and by properly applying the antidotes, one can destroy all latent tendencies such as ignorance; by constantly abiding in meditative equipoise, one can possess mindfulness and awareness; by constantly practicing pure conduct, one can possess pure enjoyment of clothing, etc., these are called eleven types; because the root of virtue is manifestly superior to the world, eighty thousand types of worms will not arise on the body; because the root of virtue is completely pure, the mind will not be deceitful; by not looking at gain and respect, etc., one can truly receive the qualities of discipline, such as wearing robes made of discarded rags; because of accomplishing the excellence of generosity, etc., there will be no miserliness and immoral conduct, etc., which are contrary to these; because of truly gathering all the dharmas, one can proceed without contradicting the nature of reality and possessing the perfection of wisdom; because of accomplishing the benefit of others by oneself, one can willingly fall into hell for the sake of others, this is called six types; because of trusting in the nature of realization, one will not be robbed by others; because of being skilled in the Buddha's skillful means and wisdom, one can realize that the demon who falsely shows the path is a demon, this is called two types; because the three spheres are completely pure, all actions can please the Buddhas, this is called one type. In order, the bodhisattvas who abide in the stages of warmth, peak, forbearance, and supreme dharma are irreversible from unsurpassed enlightenment, and one should know this through these twenty signs. In order to be in accordance with the part of ascertainment, under the nature of irreversibility, for the irreversible nature of the path of seeing, it is said with an intermediate verse: On the path of seeing, there is forbearance, and sixteen moments of knowledge, these are the characteristics of a bodhisattva who is irreversible, one should know this. Thus it is said, from the aspect of the truths of suffering, etc., the forbearance of dharma and subsequent knowledge, and the sixteen moments of knowledge, are the irreversible nature of the bodhisattvas who abide on the path of seeing.

What kind of aspect is a characteristic? Regarding aspects, it is explained in five verses in the scriptures: "Reversal of form, etc., and consciousness, Steadfast mind, turning away from inferior vehicles, Turning away from meditation, etc., Because the limbs are completely exhausted, Lightness of body and mind, and Skillful means in enjoying desires, Always practicing celibacy, And purity of livelihood, Obstacles such as aggregates, etc., and Included in aggregates and roots, etc., Warfare, stinginess, and other phenomena, Combining and subsequently combining, Separate cessation of dwelling places, and Not seeing the Dharma as a mote of dust, Certainty in one's own ground, Dwelling in the three grounds, Giving up life for the sake of Dharma, Such sixteen moments, For the wise one dwelling on the path of seeing, Are the signs of non-retrogression." It means that, by the nature of emptiness, reversing from clinging to phenomena such as form, making the supreme Bodhicitta steadfast through the blessings of the Buddhas, etc., cultivating the excellent Mahayana Dharma, liberating the mind from the Hearer and Solitary Realizer vehicles, and with the power of skillfully distinguishing all phenomena, completely exhausting the limbs of being born in meditation and formless absorption, etc., these four are the aspects of suffering. Separating from non-virtue, making body and mind light and comfortable, with the skillful means of taming sentient beings, enjoying desires without attachment, seeing the faults of objects, always practicing celibacy, and making the means of livelihood completely pure with the Dharma nature of the noble ones, these four are the aspects of accumulation. Abiding in emptiness, not combining or subsequently combining with aggregates, sense bases, and realms, thus separately ceasing the dwelling places of combining and subsequently combining, by eliminating unfavorable factors, like before, ceasing the dwelling places of combining and subsequently combining with the aggregates, etc., that obstruct realization, and by completely knowing the faults of discrimination, like the previous four
