It is said in the scriptures that one attains one's own enlightenment by relying on others, and also leads others to engage in virtue by teaching the Dharma with words. Solitary Buddhas, due to the manifest accumulation of prior hearing and so forth, attain their own enlightenment without relying on the teachings of others. Therefore, it is not necessary for them to be taught by Buddhas and so forth, which is itself a distinction. If listeners can understand the wisdom and skill of the speaker through the teaching of the Dharma expressed in words, then those Solitary Buddhas, through the power of their own wisdom and so forth, teach the Dharma without sound, leading others to engage in the ten virtues and other virtuous deeds. Therefore, the very fact that their wisdom is incomprehensible is the second distinction. Furthermore, to dispel the doubt of how the Dharma is taught without sound, it is said: "Whatever thing is for whatever thing, however one wishes to hear, for that thing, that meaning, even without sound, appears as such." This means that not speaking in words without discrimination or examination, because speech is distraction, will also disturb the mindstream. Therefore, the Bodhisattva prays: May I become a Buddha in this way and teach the Dharma without words. Therefore, because they are similar to the Buddha, even in the state of a Solitary Buddha, through the power of aspiration and so forth, even without sound, for anyone who wishes to hear any meaning of anything, that meaning will appear in their consciousness in the way they desire, so it is called teaching the Dharma without sound. The meaning of teaching the Dharma is to greatly create and generate in the consciousness of the listener of the Dharma. Having thus spoken of the distinctions, since the path of those with distinctions is particularly excellent, the true path of the Solitary Buddha is, in order to abandon the conceptualization of the object of grasping, and because grasping is not abandoned, the path of interdependence like a rhinoceros horn, should be understood as a true summary. This means that the path of the Solitary Buddha is merely to practice the truths as previously stated, and to meditate on the arising of things in dependence, as they are, thereby causing the aspects of the object of grasping and the grasper.

The gradual abandonment and non-abandonment of conceptualizations, and the superior Dharma possessed by the distinctions of the bases of dependent Dharma gathered by the vehicle of the Pratyekabuddhas, for the sake of realization, what a Bodhisattva should know, is not knowing everything, this is called the path of the Pratyekabuddhas. If one obtains what is in accordance with the part of ascertainment, the path as previously described will arise, therefore it is in accordance with the part of ascertainment. Without contradicting the imputed nature of Dharma, The aspect of showing turns into warmth, Turning into the peak, forms etc., Distinguished by the absence of decrease etc. By emptiness of the inner etc., Because of not grasping forms etc., it is forbearance. The aspect of forms etc. without arising etc., Is the supreme Dharma. Thus it is said, without contradicting the imputed nature of Dharma arising from the expressions of forms etc., to show well, and to teach the meaning of forms etc. without decrease and increase etc. in the ultimate sense, and because of emptiness of self-nature, not grasping forms etc. with emptiness of inner and outer etc., and the aspects of forms etc. without arising and ceasing etc., with these, in order, the part in accordance with ascertainment arises for the objects of the four truths. The end of the Pratyekabuddha path is the Bodhisattva path. Forbearance on truth and truth, Four different moments of knowledge. On the wisdom of the path, the seeing path, This is explained together with the benefits. Thus it is said, at the time of the wisdom of the path, the Bodhisattva, with the forbearance of Dharma knowledge, Dharma knowledge, subsequent knowledge forbearance, subsequent knowledge, these four moments of forbearance and knowledge, each associated with the truths of suffering etc., possessing this and other qualities, what should be cultivated is called the great benefit of the seeing path. How should one cultivate? Suchness and the Buddhas, Because they depend on each other and are without dependence, Not admitting different names and, Together with great immeasurable. Immeasurable and boundless, On forms etc. abiding therein, Definitely grasping as Buddhahood and, Without taking and without abandoning etc.
