It is Dun. Chapter Four. What are the distinct characteristics of those? For a while, to determine with a single intervening verse, the characteristics of those who abide in accordance with the aspect of certainty. (Verse:) Liberation from form, etc., are signs, Because of being expressed in twenty ways, Abiding in the limb of certainty, This is the characteristic of non-retrogression. (Explanation:) Thus it is said, liberation from form, etc., and aspects such as absence of doubt, determining with twenty aspects, the non-retrogressive characteristic of those who abide in accordance with the aspect of certainty should be known. Again, what are those characteristics of liberation, etc.? In order to indicate those, (explaining) the six intervening verses. (Verse:) Liberation from form, etc., and hesitation, displeasure, exhaustion, Oneself abiding in virtue, and placing others in that, Having the support of others, such as generosity, And having no doubt even about the profound meaning. Loving body, etc., and obscurations, Not associating with the five aspects, And destroying all predispositions, And mindfulness and clear awareness, Clothes, etc., are pure, And no worms arise on the body. Having no deceit, the mind is tamed, Without taking and stinginess, etc., Possessing the nature of Dharma and acting, Seeking hell for the sake of sentient beings, Not being deceived by others. To the demon who shows the near other path, Knowing that it is called a demon, is the conduct that pleases the Buddha. With those twenty signs, Abiding in the heat and peak and forbearance, etc., And the supreme Dharma, One does not regress from perfect enlightenment. Thus it is said, by the nature of no self-nature, liberation from phenomena such as form, etc., having known and gained faith, hesitation is exhausted, having accomplished the wish, wrong views, and birth in hell, and pretas, and animals, and not hearing the Buddha's words, and being born in a borderland, and incomplete faculties, and foolishness, and dumbness, and being born in long-lived gods, the eight inabilities are exhausted, with compassion, oneself and others are united with virtuous Dharma, with the nature of exchanging self and others, the generosity, etc., of completely dedicating to the realm of other sentient beings, having truly realized the Dharma, even in the profound meaning
