In order to clarify the practice of yoga, "Bodhisattva" and so on are spoken. A Bodhisattva is one who, with the power of reversal, has been bound for a long time in the three evil realms, namely hell and other sentient beings. In order to truly want to liberate them, the vast path is the Mahayana. Wanting to show the realm of sentient beings the other shore of the ocean of samsara, this is related to the previous one. Therefore, day and night, one should strive to practice this Prajnaparamita with compassion. In order to clearly illustrate this point with an analogy, "a person" and so on are spoken. For example, a person obtains a supreme treasure that he has never obtained before, especially at other auspicious times, and is very happy. But immediately afterwards, he becomes negligent due to distractions and other behaviors. If he loses this treasure, then he will always suffer because of losing the things he does not want to lose and desires to obtain, and because of his desire for the treasure. Similarly, the supreme path of Bodhi is difficult to obtain, so do not abandon the mindfulness of Prajnaparamita, which is like a treasure and has compassion. It is like losing a treasure and finding it again. In this way, wrap it with clothes and so on, and then diligently grasp sentient beings. When Prajnaparamita is practiced for a long time and corresponds to it, the Bodhisattva will quickly enter the right path, and therefore will attain Nirvana. The explanation of the twenty-second chapter, the chapter on the virtuous friend, from the Compendium of Qualities and Treasures, is completed. After showing the common fruit of the increase of compassion and wisdom, in order to understand how to overcome the discordant side in a special way, the analogy is given first. So "sun" and so on are spoken. For example, the sun, free from clouds, appears clearly, with a net of rays. Destroying all thick darkness, it appears. Shining with its own light on all fireflies, creatures and elements, as well as the constellations of Venus and Jupiter, and the light of the moon.

Thus, as stated, with wisdom, one practices the supreme perfection of wisdom, the nature of wisdom itself. The wise bodhisattva destroys all the ignorance of seeing the world as real, because it is the cause of meaninglessness, and overpowers all beings, arhats, solitary buddhas, and bodhisattvas. As taught, compassion and wisdom increase greatly, and by practicing emptiness and signlessness, one becomes a great bodhisattva because of the greatness of abandonment. Having shown how to overcome unfavorable factors, now, desiring to show how to obtain the antidote in the same way, the text speaks of "for example," and so on. For example, a king's son has the habit of distributing wealth to servants, so he gives wealth. Because he follows the path of the legal scriptures and is skilled in accomplishing tasks, he is the most excellent of all the king's sons who desire things, and therefore he becomes the chief. Because he should be relied upon by the world, he is worthy of appearing. This is because even now, in a state of poverty, he makes many sentient beings happy with respect and so on. Therefore, what need is there to mention that a special king who has received empowerment and bound his crown dwells in a state that makes many sentient beings happy? Likewise, the bodhisattva who is skilled in practicing wisdom and compassion, by the power of obtaining the antidote, teaches the Dharma without deterioration, so he gives the nectar of the path of seeing and so on, making gods and humans happy. This is because even now, in the state of obtaining youth, he strives for the benefit and happiness of many sentient beings, so he teaches the path of seeing and so on. What need is there to mention that when one has abandoned all the obscurations of habit and dwells in the supreme Dharma king position, at that time one strives for the happiness of sentient beings? Thus, it is connected with the previous text. The chapter on Hundredfold Giving, the twenty-third chapter of the Compendium of Precious Qualities, is finished. Thus, because the antidote has increased greatly and has transcended its own field of activity, in order to show that the demons are making great effort, the text speaks of "at that time," and so on.
