All of these cannot be done. Because true rejoicing can make it fully grow, so next, the intention of dedicating after rejoicing will be discussed. And rejoicing is divided into two types: preceding and not preceding. Thus, when one rejoices in the roots of virtue done by others in order to jointly obtain merit for oneself and others, and then dedicates it, this is the first type. When one dedicates in order to make one's own generosity, etc., inexhaustible, this is the second type. Because it is the main one, in order to first show the intention of dedication, it is said "past time," etc., that is, the countless Buddhas of the past. The Bhagavan is infinite, residing in many hundreds of thousands of worlds, having attained Nirvana with remainder, eliminating the suffering of beings by teaching the Dharma, they are the protectors of the world. From their initial generation of the supreme Bodhicitta to the time when the Dharma of the guides is exhausted. The collection of merit of those intermediate victors, and from the second Bhumi of Adhimukticarya, doing together with each other is included. Entering in a non-attached way, and possessing, practicing the Paramitas such as generosity, residing in the ten Bhumis such as Pramudita. The Buddha Dharmas such as the eighteen unshared ones are the realm of Samantaprabha Buddha. Whether it is the Buddha's sons or the Shravakas, the learners and non-learners, the wholesome roots with outflows and without outflows. And the merit of other various beings indicated by the word "and." Completely summarizing the nature of the immeasurable Dharmas, etc., and placing them all in the mind, the Bodhisattva's act of rejoicing is extremely devout and extremely joyful, and doing good in order to accomplish all of one's own. The merit of rejoicing, and dedicating all Dharmas in a non-attached way, thereby significantly increasing the benefit of beings, and is the cause of Bodhi, which is the basis of definite goodness.

If dedicating to unsurpassed Bodhi, then such dedication is truly complete dedication. If this is just a general teaching, then how is dedication made special by being without focus? The sutra says, "If dedication," and so on. If dedicating, if a Bodhisattva thinks, "This is the mind of dedication," then it is perceiving it as a mind with attachment. Similarly, wherever Bodhi is dedicated, the object of focus is Bodhi. Understanding that there is merit with the mind of dedication is perceiving it as sentient beings. Therefore, perception is the nature of grasping at characteristics, and the cause of focus is like a dwelling place. Because of attachment, one thinks, "I have dedicated this there." Because all objects of focus, such as actions, agents, and objects, are endowed with attachment, the connection is clinging. Therefore, because focus is harmed by valid cognition, it is the nature of inversion, so it is not dedication. If that is the case, then how does one dedicate? The sutra says, "If," and so on. If a Bodhisattva knows that the nature of dedication is naturally ceased, and decay is exhaustion, like the decay of accumulation, and thus knows all phenomena, then wherever one dedicates to Buddhahood, the merit of the Dharma that is made by the mind of dedication, the object of action, the Dharma of the nature of things, the nature of action, cannot accomplish dedication. If one dedicates like a magical person, then at that time it is dedicated. Because all phenomena are without focus. If one does not apply the mind to actions and activities with wisdom, then in some cases, why is focus mainly taught? The sutra says, "If," and so on. If a Bodhisattva understands that being like an illusion is the only truth, and nothing else, if one holds to this, then at that time, because of dedicating with an inverted nature, therefore, solely clinging to characteristics, being without focus, that is dedication to Bodhi, because it is entering into reality.

If one eats food mixed with poison, and eventually experiences the suffering of its maturation, (some) say that it is good to have even a little pleasure. Similarly, although dedicating with attachment to pure white dharmas is a cause for the decline of bodhi, the Blessed One spoke supremely of it in consideration of the fact that for beginners, it is only a connection between the mind and the object (of dedication). Therefore, one should not be attached to (dedication) here. All the types of teachings on the mental activity of dedication and the mental activity of rejoicing should be taken up. Having extensively taught these two mental activities, in order to briefly summarize them, he taught "Therefore," and so on. Therefore, in whatever way, since the object of focus is definite, even if one does not realize it as an illusion, one should imitate the wisdom and praise of the Buddhas, the Blessed Ones, and rejoice and dedicate those reasons that can produce inconceivable results, and the characteristics that are free from the nature of one and many. Thus, I should rejoice; thus, I should dedicate; one should train in rejoicing and dedication in this way. Such is non-perverted, and is considered to be truly entering (the right path). If so, what merit will result? He taught "Thus," and so on. Thus, dedicating merit to bodhi with a method that is not attached to dedication is itself an approximation, and the same is true for rejoicing. Therefore, because one sees the result of entering the non-perverted path, one will not abandon the Buddha. Therefore, precisely because of this, speaking and rejoicing according to the order he spoke is speaking the words spoken by the Buddhas, and surpasses all bodhisattvas who have sentient beings as their object, because one can completely grasp many merits. As previously taught, dedicating and rejoicing with reason, without being intimidated by any object, is a hero, up to being called a bodhisattva. This mental activity also has a definite order of priority.
