If you say that, then how do you consider it to be Suchness? It will become terms of knowledge and knowable. If you say that such a statement is conventional truth, then what should be forgotten? If you say it is inverted, will it also disappear into the nature of Suchness? How can the very nature of knowledge, which grasps the self-nature of Suchness in all ways, be inverted? If you say that although it is the nature of Suchness, it is called inverted by the power of worldly knowledge because of attachment to inverted appearances, then who is meant by "worldly people" here? What kind of knowledge is their knowledge? If you say that these things, which are pleasing without investigation and cannot be denied, are all conventional truth, then even if unwilling, it should be admitted that whatever part of that which can be called manifest is valid as conventional truth. It should be known that things like illusions are not established by manifestation. Or, it is the power of inference that harms the inverted, and only the self-nature of things is established by manifestation, and things like illusions can be established. However, it has already been proven that what is established by manifestation is not worldly knowledge. If you say that Suchness is established, then the terms of knowledge and knowable will not apply. However, it should be shown at the end that it is conventional truth. Therefore, since it is in accordance with attachment, how is one's own valid cognition determined, so it is an inference with certainty. It is certain that things are established as being like illusions. Therefore, in the Lankavatara Sutra and other scriptures, the Blessed One has taught that all appearances are conventional truth, and that reasoning as it is is ultimate truth. That is enough for extensive explanation. Children are those who have not generated the noble path. Their discrimination is reasonable. These phenomena of appearance are existent. Reasoning as it is is non-existent. Furthermore, what should be abandoned is the object of the first conceptual thought that is related to the basis of all defilements, and not recognizing it will correspond to all defilements.

This is because one should abide, just as one abides in a place that has been cleansed. Similarly, one should abide in accordance with the purified awareness of the object of the two apprehensions to be abandoned, which are supported by the antidote. Having thus established the apprehension of the apprehended, from these two onwards, together with the object of manifest clinging, it is taught that one should meditate on them as illusory and false, and it is taught that there are existence and non-existence, etc. Existence and non-existence are two. In reality, due to their unborn nature, form and so on are non-existent dharmas. However, due to the power of manifest pride, children investigate existence and non-existence. Whatever Bodhisattva thoroughly understands through the stages of hearing and so on, that will definitely lead to liberation, because it is a reversed bondage, and by truly entering, it will definitely lead to liberation. After that, in order to explain the first of the two apprehensions, the Bodhisattva and so on are explained. Whatever Bodhisattva, by the power of reasoning fabricated by the apprehension that grasps the nature of substantial existence, is like a mere illusion, and is also an example in relation to worldly consciousness. For this, at the time of the division of determination, one generates the wisdom of hearing and so on and understands. Therefore, it also shows that the very nature of the first apprehension of the person who has a substantially existing basis is to be abandoned by the meditation of abandonment, just as it is. In order to explain the second apprehension, it is explained that illusion is different, etc. Whatever Bodhisattva, for this illusory false appearance, is not another nature, but the very consideration that the aggregates are self is also an augmentation by the apprehension that grasps the nature of a person who is nominally existent, and it does not make it different. However, having understood that these aggregates are like illusions, as previously explained, therefore, it also shows that the nature of the apprehension of the person who has a nominally existent basis should also be meditated upon in order to abandon it, just as it is. What is the benefit of such complete understanding?
