By realizing the object of focus, one will be able to realize the absence of attachment. To act in this way is wisdom connected with the Sugata, and for the nature of the supreme Dharma nature, it is to act, thus establishing the order. This shows the various forms of non-discrimination and so on. Why is this the cause? Because it is said, "This is," and so on. The so-called "this is" refers to the object of focus and the aspect, distinguished by the differences of small, medium, and large, and the wisdom of the nature of the supreme Dharma nature is knowledge. After that, whether it is the Bodhi of the Shravakas or others, it depends on their respective vehicles, and in order to advance especially, it is the supreme of going to the other shore. Because it abides in the nature of the cause of attaining all Bodhi, it is action, or because it is the nature of the ground of faith and practice, it is action, thereby showing that it has become the nature of the cause. How are these meanings gathered here and shown by the power of reason? That is, the object of focus and the aspect, as well as the arising of the forms of small warmth and so on, should be understood as what is shown. In the Hundred Thousand Verses, the objects of focus and aspects of the differences from small and so on are also shown separately, in order to eliminate the wrong views of the beings to be tamed gathered there. Here, too, it is impossible to combine them, because the verses and those themselves are not related. Therefore, when one cultivates the object of focus and the aspect as shown above, there is no obvious attachment to different things, and the appearance of slightly clear wisdom, even seeing everything as only mind, then that is the stage of warmth, and in the Mahayana it is said that this is the Samadhi of obtaining appearance. When, by the power of cultivation, one obtains the appearance of medium wisdom with the clear appearance of small and so on, then that is the stage of the peak, which is the Samadhi called the increase of appearance. When one abides in the nature of only mind, and the appearance of medium and small wisdom with clear appearance increases, then that is the stage of forbearance, entering the ground of holding, which is entering one aspect of the meaning of Suchness, which is the Samadhi called entering. When abandoning the attachment to things,

When the appearance of wisdom arises from the subtle and invisible, etc., it is the samadhi that immediately follows that supreme state of Dharma. Furthermore, showing great devotion to all those samadhis is called the Ground of Conduct of Devotion. Starting from that, in order to cultivate and eliminate the obscurations of the discriminating Bodhisattva between the Path of Seeing and the Path of Cultivation in the Abhisamayalankara, it is shown that the four aspects of grasping and being grasped, in accordance with the order of the four aspects of determination, are the support. Among them, in order to show the two aspects of grasping, which are the support of all afflictions and antidotes, it is said, "What is not existent," etc. Because there is no inference that is separate from one and many for these meanings of how to understand appearances, it is not the attainment of existence. That is because those dharmas are like illusions, therefore they are called non-existent. It is not non-existent like a rabbit's horn, because there is no valid cognition to prove it. If it cannot be established that the object of appearance itself is like an illusion, therefore it is non-existent. That is also not apprehended as an illusion of direct perception, because there is no discrimination. In that case, if the power of a valid cognition that can be refuted grasps the definite object itself as an illusion, and all the various things that appear in direct perception are grasped as being like an illusion, then it should be said. If that is the case, is the valid cognition that can be refuted direct perception or inference? If it is a valid cognition that can be refuted by merely grasping with direct perception, then it will become endless because it is the same, like writing itself. For cowherds and women, etc., the pot, etc., which is established by direct perception, is not by the power of a valid cognition that can be refuted. However, if it is said that it depends on the very application of the term of knowledge, then because it grasps the nature of suchness in all aspects, it will become a fault that is difficult to refute, such as all sentient beings being liberated by direct perception. These are intended to be suchness.
