Because what you see is just a reversed appearance, you will explain things in a way that does not conform to reality. Due to the classification of objects, nine different aspects arise. These aspects are obstacles, so you should know that they are like afflictions, an unfavorable aspect. As it is said in the scripture: Entering and returning, the respective grasping conceptualizations, possessing nine kinds of nature, the real objects, one should know their unreal nature. Having explained the two kinds of grasped conceptualizations in this way, next we will explain the two kinds of grasping conceptualizations. First, we will explain the first grasping conceptualization that ordinary beings consider the person to be substantially existent and dependent, which is to say, "Thus, with a mind of rejoicing," and so on. Similarly, why is that? After raising the question, the answer is: "Thus, son of good family," and so on. Because ordinary beings are attached to the idea that the self is substantially existent, and they are attached with this conceptualization, thereby rejoicing in virtuous deeds, therefore it is said that they receive the reward of reverence, etc., but not the meaning of becoming a Buddha, etc. If ordinary beings also know that all phenomena are without self, then the first grasping conceptualization that is established is not all-pervasive, if asked in this way. Because their understanding of selflessness is based on special faith and attention, while what is said here is based on truthful attention, so they are not the same. Next, the second grasping conceptualization that noble beings consider to be merely imputed and dependent is explained, which is to ask, "Bhagavan, who has generated the desire," and so on. Being able to attain perfect and complete enlightenment means that, due to the attachment with the conceptualization that considers the imputed self to be the grasper, the noble ones rejoice, thereby increasing the mind that arises, which is mainly in order to truly generate the unsurpassed Bodhi. This is a concluding word. Because this is not contrary to the nature of reality.

Therefore, the expressed rejoicing is " कौषिक (Tibetan, Sanskrit Devanagari, kauśika, literal Chinese meaning: Kauśika) by the power of the Tathagata" and so on. It is said that rejoicing occurs through the distinction of small, medium, and large, and so on, which is the utterance of three words. Even noble ones have such instances, such as, "Monks, after the night had passed, at dawn I heard the sound of a jackal howling," and similarly, if it is said, "At that time, the king of the mountains, the lion, became crippled," is it sorrow or a grasping conceptualization? If it is said that this second grasping is not pervasive, then the noble ones' saying so is merely conventional truth, not ultimate truth, and therefore it is incorrect. It is said that ordinary beings and noble individuals sequentially possess two grasping conceptualizations that are the basis of persons existing as substances and imputations. When these two grasping conceptualizations occur, and their objects become the objects of what is grasped, when they do not exist in that way in the nature of what is grasped, then nothing is grasped. Therefore, they are of a nature devoid of the nature of grasping, and because of inverted appearance, they are not the nature of objects as they truly exist, and it will be explained that they become nine aspects due to the difference of objects, which is an unfavorable condition because it becomes an obstacle. It is also said: The difference between ordinary beings and noble ones, Sentient beings, substances, and imputations, In conceptualizations, they are thought of as grasping, Each of them is of nine natures. If the meaning of what is grasped is not true, What is thought to be grasped by them? Thus, they are grasping, The nature of emptiness of self. So, how does the first conceptualization of what is grasped become nine aspects due to the difference of objects? In order to show the meaning of entering conceptualization, please ask the Blessed One, "Is the mind like an illusion?" and so on. "How" means in what way. If in such reality, one examines completely and exhaustively in some way, it will become vast, the mind is not like an illusion, nor is it illusion itself, nor is it a dharma other than it, this is the gateway to asking again.
