The power of knowing what is possible and impossible, the power of knowing the ripening of actions, the power of knowing various realms of the world, the power of knowing superior and non-superior faculties, the power of knowing the path that leads everywhere, the power of knowing defilements and purifications, the power of knowing the recollection of past lives, the power of knowing death, transference, and birth, the power of knowing the exhaustion of defilements. These are called the ten powers, because one certainly overcomes opposing forces, and in order not to be overwhelmed, there are ten aspects of power. This is called the perfection of fearlessness, which is declaring oneself to be a Buddha, stating that attachment and the like are obstacles, supremely showing the path that certainly leads to omniscience, and because there is no opponent to one's own commitment to the exhaustion of defilements, in order to be extremely unafraid, there are four aspects of fearlessness. This is called the perfection of individual perfect knowledge, which is tasting the flavor of understanding in sequence the categories, the characteristics of the Dharma, the language of the region, and the object of discriminating the Dharma, and because there is no obstruction of the obscuration of knowledge, in order for all wisdom to be without attachment and without obstruction, there are four aspects of individual perfect knowledge of Dharma, meaning, definitive words, and eloquence. This is called the perfection of all unshared qualities of a Buddha, which is without confusion, without clamor, without loss of mindfulness, without lack of meditative absorption, without the thought of otherness, without unexamined equanimity. Thus, there are six aspects, and beginning with the purification of the obscuration of knowledge, there is no falling away from aspiration, diligence, mindfulness, concentration, wisdom, and liberation. Thus, there are six aspects, and the activities of body, speech, and mind are all preceded by wisdom and followed by wisdom. There are three aspects, and the three wisdoms of being without attachment and without obstruction to the past, future, and present occurrences are said to be unshared with hearers and the like.

The eighteen unmixed qualities of the Buddha are the aspects that are completely beyond the nature of coarseness. This is called "The Perfection of Suchness of the Thus-Gone One," because the meaning of the nature of all the dharmas spoken by the Buddhas, the Bhagavat, does not change, and for the sake of the non-perverted Suchness, the aspect of Suchness spoken by all the Buddhas is one. This is called "The Perfection of Self-Arising," because all things are without self-nature, and the realization of this is not dependent on others, therefore the self-arising aspect of having mastery over all dharmas is one. This is called "The Perfection of Omniscient Wisdom," because in order to fully know all the aspects of the nature of all dharmas, the aspect of the Buddha himself, who perfectly and completely awakened with all aspects, is one. In this way, how are the aspects distinguished? For example, the powers and so on, and what is the self-nature of these, namely Suchness, and whose are these, namely the self-arising that has mastery over all dharmas, and for what purpose, namely for the purpose of perfectly and completely awakening to all dharmas with all aspects. In order, they are ten, four, four and eighteen, one, one, one. In this way, the aspects that are the basis of the path of omniscience become thirty-nine. For omniscience, because the paths differ due to the differences of the Shravakas and so on, therefore one should understand only these aspects that are spoken of. As it is said: Starting from the mindfulness, to the ultimate of the Buddha's aspects, in accordance with the Truth of the Path, divided into three omniscient ones, for the disciples, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas, respectively, they are considered to be thirty-seven, thirty-four, and thirty-nine. Thus it is said. Among them, the aspect of all-knowingness is, according to the order of the difference between Shravakas and Bodhisattvas, also without outflows and with outflows. The aspect of the knowledge of the path is, the afflictions of the Bodhisattvas
