Chapter Four: Expressing the Complete Manifestation of All Aspects Chapter Four: Expressing the Complete Manifestation of All Aspects In order to master the three kinds of omniscience that have become fully known, one also cultivates the three kinds of omniscience by way of gathering all aspects, paths, and base knowledge. Therefore, one should express the complete manifestation of all aspects. Here, first of all, the distinctions of knowledge that take impermanence and so forth as their objects, which are the antidotes to the opposing side of clinging to permanence and so forth, are established as aspects themselves, and it should be understood that this is the general characteristic. Therefore, there will be no fault of being without a basis in this. These aspects should also be understood as being considered to be only three kinds of aspects due to the distinctions of the three kinds of omniscience. Regarding this, it is also said: The distinctions of base knowledge are called aspects, that is their characteristic. Since omniscience is threefold, it is considered to be threefold. Thus it is said. Here, relying on the noble truths, in terms of the three kinds of omniscience, from which truth how many aspects arise, one completely shows those aspects. First, in terms of all-knowingness, it is said thus, and the venerable Subhuti said to the Blessed One, and so forth. "This is the perfection of non-existence" means that it does not exist in the nature of permanence like the sky, that is, because it does not exist. Non-existence as a cause is a synonym for the aspect of impermanence. "Unequal and equality" means that all phenomena are equality like the unattainable, and because it is the nature of unborn, the aspect of suffering is unequal and has no similarity due to its nature of being different from other aspects. That is equality in reality, that is, unborn. "Secluded" means very, because it is empty of self from the root, it is secluded by the nature of obtaining the qualities of the aspect of emptiness. "Undeceptive" means that because all phenomena do not appear as self, it is common to all non-Buddhists.

Because I am not a non-Buddhist, non-Buddhists will not disturb me, therefore the aspect of selflessness is not deceptive. Thus, the four aspects of non-existence, non-arising, truth, and non-deception, just like the number of truths of suffering, will become the characteristics of impermanence and so on. The so-called "no place" refers to the four non-form aggregates in it, which are name. The form aggregate is the body. This is their cause, therefore, it should be that name is non-existent and body is non-existent, because the aspect of the cause is just like that, in the sense that it is not the basis of production, it is no place. The so-called "no self-nature" refers to the nature of non-arising and non-cessation, there is no going and coming, therefore it is the aspect of accumulation, it should be the same as space. The so-called "unspeakable" means that all dharmas are non-existent, because even in the conventional truth of speech, there is no speech with sound, therefore, because there is no discrimination, the aspect of extreme arising is unspeakable. The so-called "nameless" means that the five aggregates are not manifest, because there is no arising from the mind, so the aspect of condition is called nameless. Thus, the four aspects of no place, space, unspeakable, and nameless, for the truth of origin, will become the characteristics of cause and so on in order. The so-called "no going" means that the nature of cessation, all dharmas have nowhere to go, therefore the aspect of cessation is no going. The so-called "non-seizing" means that it is peaceful from the beginning, therefore there is no clinging to the nature of the object. Because all dharmas are not to be grasped, the aspect of peace is non-seizing. The so-called "inexhaustible" means that with the nature of the dharmadhatu, it has inexhaustible dharmas, therefore abundance is inexhaustible. The so-called "unborn" means that because it is separated from the cause of one and many, all dharmas are not manifestly established, therefore the aspect of liberation is unborn. Thus, the aspects of no going, non-seizing, inexhaustible, and unborn
