It is not like that, because it is specifically pointed out as "ultimate truth" in this way, what needs to be established is the negation of the very nature of imputing this appearing object as truly existent, but it is not the negation of the object's own nature, so it is the same. However, if the nature of the ultimate truth is negated, then what appears and becomes the nature of the object, what else remains? If one wants to say this, that is also not correct, because whatever is inverted will become inverted, and that is not pervasive of the appearance of the nature of ultimate truth, because false things like double moons and hairnets also appear. If it is said that even though double moons and the like are false in the nature of external objects, they are ultimate truth in the nature of knowledge, so it is reasonable to appear, that cannot be said either, because they appear as having various natures and the object is abiding. One knowledge cannot be multiple, because one itself would be destroyed. The arising of multiple knowledges has also been previously negated. It is also not abiding in the object, because it is not embodied. Therefore, although double moons and the like are not ultimate truth, even so, even if the appearance inverts the nature of ultimate truth, there is no contradiction in the appearance itself, so it should not be acknowledged as truly existent. It should also not be acknowledged as non-existent, because that is the characteristic of the opposite of existence. If existence is not established, then the negation of objectlessness does not exist, because if there is nothing to be negated, negation will not be established, so that which precedes it is also not established. Because we are not tainted by the fault of falling into the two extremes of existence and non-existence, therefore, because it is the nature of mutual determination, if one negation does not exist, the other will not arise, so whatever is said, "the object establisher strongly establishes," is inseparable, because in ultimate truth, the nature of existence is indivisible. Thus, even if the nature of existence and non-existence does not exist, knowledge and the knowable are still related through direct perception or inference. Therefore, the conceptual thoughts that have it as their object, all

Thus it is established that it is not Suchness. Even if the self-nature of things and non-things does not exist, it should not be thought that the conceptualization with that as its object, which arises from beginningless habituation, arises like the conceptualization of rabbit horns and so on. This is because, if there is no connection with external objects, but since it arises from the awakening of habituation that is non-different from it, the previous knowledge has a characteristic connection with what arises from it. Similarly, the knowledge that arises simultaneously also has a self-nature connection with what is non-different from it. Therefore, the image that exists in conceptualization is used as a term for some aspects of affirmation and negation. Therefore, as mentioned above, if there is no knowledge arising from habituation, since it is separated from the image, conceptualization will not arise, so things and non-things have no self-nature, from where can one speak of conceptualization? This also answers what some people say, that for the meaning established by a valid cognition with conceptualization, some are attached to it as true, while others are attached to it as false, otherwise one would fall into the fault of losing conceptualization itself. Therefore, attachment to truth and falsehood is difficult to abandon, so how can all inversions be abandoned? Because attachment is the self-nature that is non-different from knowledge, if it does not exist, how can it be considered that attachment exists? Therefore, in this way, the conceptualizations of things and non-things pervade all conceptualizations, and if there is no pervader, there is no pervaded, so in Suchness, one is free from grasping things and non-things. If not examined, like a pleasing pile of water and trees, all things have no essence, neither outwardly nor inwardly. When the power of meditation is perfected by definitely realizing with the eye of wisdom in the manner of the Eight Manifest Realizations, such as the Omniscient One with such aspects, there will no longer be any mistaken signs like some people's knowledge of jewels and silver, etc.
