It is said that "because of non-arising" means that, in its very nature, it is non-arising because of non-arising. The Arhat Subhuti, a hearer of the Thus-gone One, has followed after that, and has followed after it as its very nature. The term "suchness" is explained by the teacher Vasubandhu as follows: "The essence of the Thus-gone One is only suchness." If asked, "How so?" it is answered with, "How the Thus-gone One," and so forth. Thus, "Arhat Subhuti" and so on, it is said, because he has followed after the suchness of the Thus-gone One who has just passed away. Therefore, because of non-arising, he has arisen in accordance with it, and this should be understood in connection with the previous statement. Similarly, the following statements should also be understood. If one asks, "It is through the power of meditation that one attains the Thus-gone One, but if it is not through the dharma of things, how can one be said to have arisen in accordance with it?" The answer is given with, "Arhat Subhuti," and so on. The term "from the very beginning" is synonymous with "from the very first." If someone raises the doubt, "Is this not reasonable?" In response to this doubt, it is said, "The suchness of the Thus-gone One," and so on. The phrase "that is the suchness of all dharmas" means that the general characteristics of form and so on, which are considered to be substantial, are unborn. In this way, the suchness of the Thus-gone One and of all dharmas, by their indivisibility, shows that the suchness of the Thus-gone One is the possessor of all objects. Therefore, that is also Subhuti's, and it is said, "What is the suchness of the Thus-gone One," and so on. Therefore, the phrase "arisen in accordance with the Thus-gone One" means that he has arisen in accordance with it in the manner of possessing suchness. If that is the case, would suchness not become substantially existent? The answer is given with, "Suchness is also," and so on. The phrase "it is not suchness" means that it is not reasonable to negate something that has no object. Therefore, it means that suchness is also like an illusion in conventional truth. He has arisen in accordance with the Thus-gone One.

The meaning of 'o' is that it is a word of the agentive case from the word 'subsequently.' The mention of 'Tathagata' is intended to indicate that it is related to that. If its very nature is the nature of Dharma, how can it be born subsequently? Therefore, it is said, 'Tathagata,' and so on. 'Dwelling' means the constant Dharma nature in conventional truth. If that is the case, wouldn't the venerable Subhuti possess change and so on? Therefore, it is said, 'The Suchness of the Tathagata,' and so on. In that, there is no change of increase or decrease, and there is no transformation. Because it is free from the discrimination of self and others, there is no discrimination, and there is no conceptualization. If the Suchness of Subhuti is the same as the Suchness of the Tathagata, from where does the nature of no change and so on come? Therefore, it is said, 'The Suchness of the Tathagata,' and so on. Why is this doubt welcomed with 'If these are known'? Therefore, it is said, 'What is the Suchness of the Tathagata,' and so on. 'This is one' means non-different. Why? Because the agent and the action, and the object are not perceived, so it is non-dual, and it cannot be made dual, so it is not two. It is the Suchness of non-duality, which is expressed by the distinction of meaning. In all ways, because it is free from the very basis, it is not Suchness anywhere. Because there is no cause, it is not from anywhere. Because there is no connection, it is not of anything. If there is connection and so on, it will become a thing itself, so it will not become Suchness, therefore, it is said, 'Why,' and so on. Thus, the venerable Subhuti is such that the Suchness of the Tathagata and all Dharmas is the same in nature, so it is contained by the Suchness of the Tathagata. Therefore, the Suchness of Subhuti is the nature of no change and so on, so it is born in accordance with the unmade Suchness, which is the concluding statement. All Dharmas

Since everything arises in such a way, what is so special about the venerable Subhuti? Although this is true, only the point of contention should be pointed out. Otherwise, if one says that the listener does not appear, how could one not become mad? The only thing that clarifies this is saying "What is the uncreated Suchness" and so on. That is to say, it will never become non-Suchness, which means that in any case it is only Suchness. The summary is, saying "How is the Tathagata's Suchness at all times" and so on. "At all times" means at any time. "Manifestation" means completely separated, that is, produced. The two words just said are "not a complete kalpa," where "kalpa" is not understanding, that is, not seeing. "Not a kalpa" means understanding, that is, seeing. "Because difference is not observed" means that because the same nature is reasonable in quantity, the quantity of difference is not observed in Suchness, so it is not difference, nor is it a complete kalpa. The Tathagata's Suchness is the nature of the Suchness of all dharmas, but the venerable Subhuti's Suchness is not like that, so how can these two Suchnesses not be different? It is said "How is the Tathagata's Suchness" and so on. "Not other" is a conjunction of words, used on the first verb. That is to say, the Tathagata's Suchness does not arise from the Suchness of all dharmas, so what is it? It is like saying that the venerable Subhuti's Suchness is also its nature. "This is not the Suchness of anything, it has not become not" means that everything is synonymous with Suchness, saying "is" and so on. Combine the venerable Subhuti's Suchness with the Suchness of all dharmas. Following the non-other Suchness.
