It is like the eye consciousness simultaneously grasping the characteristics of a clean dwelling and the peacocks and birds that do not reside there. If contradictory things appearing in one consciousness are not contradictory, then why do pleasure and pain, or desire and hatred, not arise simultaneously in the minds of sentient beings as experienced by one consciousness? Because not experiencing pleasure and so on at the same time, it does not arise because there is no cause, so pleasure and so on are not coexistent, but not because of contradiction, one should ascertain this. Furthermore, how to grasp past and future things has already been explained before. By directly or indirectly understanding the nature of things as having benefit or being able to bring benefit, one knows the past and future, just as understanding an empty ground is understanding the absence of a pot. If that is the case, it is not inference either, because the Bhagavan has no sign, and because the present manifestation itself, which is endowed with all characteristics, is the direct perception of both of them. Enough with the extensive explanation. What clarifies the act of generating is, Subhuti, the Tathagata

He thinks that these exist. The instruction on knowing the conduct of the minds of all sentient beings is what is stated as, "Furthermore, Subhuti." The question is asked for the purpose of ascertaining the meaning of the commitment, which is what is stated as, "Subhuti, how does the Tathagata?" The answer is given that sentient beings are without inherent existence, which is what is stated as, "Because sentient beings are without inherent existence," because sentient beings are of the nature of illusion. He fully knows in the manner of countless sentient beings and so forth. The summary is what is stated as, "Subhuti, thus it is." By this very method, he fully knows the conduct of their minds, which is what is stated as, "Furthermore, Subhuti," which means that by the very absence of sentient beings, since sentient beings do not exist and there is no object of focus in reality, he fully knows the conduct of sentient beings in the manner of the sphere of reality, in the immeasurable and so forth. Knowing the collected mind is what is stated as, "Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata knows the collected minds," which means that "together with being collected, it is of the nature of exhaustion, and exhaustion is also of the nature of non-exhaustion," which means that because it is focused on that and enters into the nature of reality, that collected mind is exhausted in conventional truth, and he knows that it is completely destroyed, but in ultimate truth, there is no exhaustion or destruction, so it is non-exhausted, and he fully knows the non-destructive purity as it is. In order to indicate the knowledge of the distracted mind, he stated, "Furthermore, Subhuti, the Tathagata knows the distracted minds," which means "from the nature of reality," which means from the unborn nature of the sphere of reality, because not paying attention to that, the mind that engages outwardly in conventional truth is distracted, but in ultimate truth, it is without characteristics, and because it is devoid of self-nature and momentary impermanence, it is inexhaustible, and because it is devoid of constant impermanence, it is indestructible, and because it is impossible to go outward, it is not distracted, and he fully knows it as it truly is. Indicating the knowledge of the aspect of the inexhaustible mind is, "Furthermore, Subhuti, the mind

It speaks of immeasurable, countless minds, such as immeasurable, inexhaustible, and so on. If any mind is immeasurable and inexhaustible like the sky, then the minds of all sentient beings appear immeasurably and inexhaustibly on the surface of one's own meditation mirror, and therefore one will know things as they truly are. What is called the blessing of the Tathagata is the blessing of that mind by great compassion until the end of samsara. What is called without cessation, without birth, without abiding, is because there are no three characteristics of conditioned phenomena. Therefore, since it does not possess the nature of a phenomenon, it is without support. Because it cannot be measured, it is immeasurable. Like the realm of Dharma, it is not appropriate to be completely destroyed, so it is inexhaustible. Revealing the knowledge of the mind with attachment, etc., it speaks of those minds that are completely afflicted, etc. What is called "not completely afflicted by afflictions" is because it exists only as an illusion. In reality, the characteristics of afflictions, karma, and birth are not completely afflicted by complete afflictions, but are without afflictions. However, due to the power of inversion, they are completely afflicted and destroyed. What is called without designation refers to entering into individual certainty. Revealing the knowledge of the mind without attachment, etc., it speaks of those minds that are not completely afflicted, etc. What is called naturally luminous is because in the state of ordinary beings, it arises from the cause of illusion. Therefore, even if such an impure mind is examined by valid cognition, it will tend to realize the nature of unborn, etc. Because it cannot be reversed after the antidote arises, and it is able to eliminate temporary afflictions such as attachment, it is naturally luminous and is merely the completely pure nature itself. In this way, after generally revealing the mind with attachment, etc., and the mind without attachment, etc.,
