Therefore, the Blessed One inquired, "Is it thus?" and so forth. The doubt of why there are many enemies is met with "Why is that?" It is inquired for the sake of being difficult to obtain and precious, and so forth. "Well said" means that Subhuti spoke thus, and so on. Although there are many interruptions, it is obtained by the power of the Tathagata, as Subhuti said, "Thus, the faults of Mara," and so on. The doubt of what is the cause for fully examining the power of the Tathagata is met with "Why is that?" It is said, "Even the evil Mara is here," and so on. The explanation of the Prajnaparamita, in the light of the Abhisamayalankara, the chapter on the deeds of Mara is the eleventh. In order to clarify that the Tathagatas make great effort by means of examples, Subhuti said, "Thus, for example," and so on. "Dwelling in unpleasant contact" means dwelling in discomfort. "Unpleasant" means that the mind does not desire it. As before, the doubt of "Why is that?" is met with. It is said, "By this, we are born," and so on. Here, some show closeness with food and so on and take it well. Others also hold it, and because they are guarded from thieves and so on, they hide it well, and because they sweep away the dirt of the body and so on, they repair it well. The afflicted are those struck by lightning and so on. "Is it a swelling?" means all epidemic diseases. "The arising of the undesirable" means the arising of unpleasant things. The meaning shown by the example is what Subhuti said, "Thus, the Tathagata," and so on. The Tathagata is held to be dwelling in this world realm. Why is it that later it will be said in other world realms and so on? "It will not become an obstacle" means as previously said.

Thus, in order not to be obstructed by the forty-six kinds of obstacles, one should strive to practice diligently, which is related to the previous. As it is said: Faults include forty kinds, and six kinds must be definitely recognized. This is what is said. In order, one should cultivate yoga through the means of adopting and abandoning merits and faults, because understanding the commentary is the prerequisite, so after the faults. By grasping the establishment of the characteristics of the yogas, one should grasp the knowledge, the difference, the nature of the action, and the activity, thereby expressing the owner of the nature. As it is said: By what is it symbolized as a characteristic? The knowable is also divided into three types: knowledge, difference, and action. What is the nature that is symbolized? This is what is said. Among them, temporarily from the characteristics of knowledge, that is, from the difference of the three classifications of omniscience, through the means of omniscience, to explain the knowledge of the arising of the Tathagata. It is said, Subhuti, the so-called Tathagata, etc. In order to dispel the doubt that this is illogical, welcome it with "Why is that?", and then say "This is the Tathagata", etc. Because it causes to arise, it is the mother. Because it nourishes correctly, it is the producer. Because it produces correctly, it is the one who shows all knowledge. The so-called showing in all the world is because it makes one understand through emptiness and other means. Here, some of one's own sects say that when one wisdom simultaneously pervades all knowable things in the mundane, then things are limited to this extent, so by completely determining, it will be harmed by admitting infinity. Like this, if it is said that there is no other thing besides the thing that enters one knowledge, then how can it not become finite by completely determining like this? This is what they say. This is meaningless, if one temporarily relies on the absence of discriminating consciousness to refute, then at that time everything will be unrelated. Like this, no matter how many slightly existing kinds of things are experienced, just because they exist, they are determined by the wisdom of the omniscient, therefore it is pervasive, thus it is stated.

Therefore, because it occupies a place by being associated with other things, it is not said to be pervasive. Because they are completely cut off by one wisdom, the infinite nature of one's own self will be lost, saying that they are completely cut off by one wisdom, it is not just that that one abandons the self-nature of things. When variegated colors and the like are spread out, many things such as blue and yellow are simultaneously grasped by one wisdom, and those with bodies do not abandon their multiplicity, nor do they follow each other, but however they exist, they are completely cut off by knowing them as they are, not by other natures. Similarly, sentient beings and the world of containers also experience how they exist, and in the same way, the minds of the omniscient ones also hold them. In all directions and corners, dwelling in the world of sentient beings and the like is also infinite, therefore, it is held as infinite, not as dwelling in the finite, therefore, the finite becomes a fault. If you think, how can the complete commitment not become finite? That is not the case, for where all is held, there it is certain that the finite is held, what is the connection like that? In this way, no matter how many things there are, there is not one among them that the omniscient wisdom has not experienced the existence of ignorance. However, the omniscient wisdom is perceiving, and no matter when it arises and perishes, none is completely abandoned, and this is the meaning of holding all. This is because their wisdom is pervaded by one wisdom, otherwise, one should not even commit to expressing their entirety in words, because it would become finite. Therefore, this is not acceptable in any way. There is nothing other than the things that enter into one wisdom, and because of this complete severance, how can it not become finite? What is said in this way is also not correct. In the school that proclaims the absence of aspects of wisdom, the nature of wisdom is not what things enter into. However, just existing is its awareness. The nature of things is completely cut off by wisdom.
