Whatever is not complete (not perfect), it is not constantly abiding, possessing the nature of continuity. For example, the cause of abiding, such as fire and wood, is that which possesses the ability to be fully equipped, like smoke and so on. The Tathagata Bhagavan is also one who does not possess the complete cause of abiding. The pervasiveness of abiding continuity contradicts the incompleteness of the cause of abiding, because here it is to establish the incompleteness of the cause of abiding, so it is the object of contradictory pervasiveness. The dissimilar dharma is like the cessation of continuity of smoke and so on. The combination of the non-arising of the result from the existence of the incomplete cause is contradictory. How is this reason established? It is stated that the incompleteness of the cause of abiding is because the ability to accomplish the benefit of sentient beings is completely exhausted? Or because of being separated from great compassion? Or because of declining from mastering the abiding of the activities of life? Or because the ripening of the karma of the life force abiding is exhausted? Or because the disciples to be tamed by the Buddha do not exist? Among these, the first speculation does not exist, because it has been promised that the teacher's wisdom is unobstructed in ability. If it were not so, then what difference would there be between this and rhinoceros horns? Because of long-term habituation, just as one does not despise a clean skull, one has become the nature of great compassion, so without effort one will not decline, and tasting the taste of increase is focused, because it is inclined to this, because one has not seen faults, so there is no effort, therefore the second distinction also does not exist. If the magical feet are practiced to the extreme, then the third distinction is also unreasonable. It is said: "Ananda, if someone cultivates, meditates, and practices the four magical feet many times, then if he wants to abide for a kalpa or more than a kalpa, he can. Ananda, the Tathagata has cultivated, meditated, and practiced the four magical feet many times, so if he wants to abide for a kalpa or more than a kalpa, he can." Because of this reason. The exhaustion of the life fruit is also because of abandoning killing, and practicing with countless means.

It is not possible for a lama who has accumulated the perfections such as generosity for countless eons (to die). The nature of cause and effect is this: from an excellent cause comes an excellent result, and what is it that an excellent result comes from a non-excellent (cause)? If it were not so, then since the result would not arise from excellent and non-excellent causes, it would not become an object of benefit and conferring benefit, because it does not depend on the difference that depends on it. The Teacher has countless causes of life, such as abstaining from killing others and countless blameless things, so why should he not live for a hundred years? If you say that the result of all these is omniscience, that is not correct, because it is mainly said that long life is the result. From the result of abstaining from killing and the perfection of giving, longevity is spoken of in accordance with and in opposition to it. If it is said that what is the main cause, then since the basis that makes it fully grow dwells nearby, therefore it produces it itself, and if it also becomes the cause of others, there is no fault. It is not the case that one abandons a definite result once and produces another result, because it would follow that it is not the case that one produces it even once. Furthermore, from the power of becoming accustomed to the suchness of all phenomena, one becomes omniscient, and the accumulation of merit is in accordance with this because it produces its excellent basis. Therefore, it is nonsense to say that the Bhagavan died because his merit was completely exhausted. If it is thought that the Tathagata passed into nirvana because there were no sentient beings to be tamed, then this needs to be examined here: Is it that there are no sentient beings to be tamed by the body of the Buddha? Or is it that there are no sentient beings to be tamed by other forms either? If it is according to the former, then since there are beings who are tamed by showing the form of Indra and so on, why does his form not remain? The mind controlled by great compassion
