Welcoming with "Why cling to this?", he proclaimed, "Subhuti! This Prajnaparamita has been fully elucidated," and so on. Here it is said, why are forms and so on, like illusions, the mother of the Victorious Ones? Because, through reason, this Prajnaparamita is fully elucidated as being of one nature, therefore, perceiving forms and so on as distinct is a perversion. Therefore, clinging to forms and so on causes the mother to be distant, and so on. "The great meaning is thus, Bhagavan," he said, and so on. Because it accomplishes the great meaning, which is Buddhahood, it is the great Paramita. "Not making it great" means not increasing it. "Not making it small" means not diminishing its place. Explaining it appropriately is "not gathering it, not scattering it," because it is merely fame, not the true meaning. Therefore, it is intended to be the teaching with the fruit of perfect enlightenment. "Not making it powerful" means in a way that is unprecedented and falsely embellished. "Also not making it powerless" means not denying what already exists. In the stage of ordinary beings, due to the power of perversion, omniscience becomes small, but in the stage of liberation, due to the power of the mother, being free from perversion, it becomes great. Or, if someone were to say this, then to dispel this doubt, welcoming with "Why?", he requested, "Bhagavan! Omniscience is..." and so on. Here it is said, because it is free from perversion, therefore, relying on the power of the mother, omniscience is neither contracted nor scattered, therefore it is said not to make it great, not to make it small. To this, it is also said, "Obvious clinging is bondage," which is "If so," and so on. "Even if seeking in that way" means clinging to the object of focus as previously stated. "What more to say" means it is Prajnaparamita, however, it will become a great object of focus.

It is a negative word that means "not." If someone doubts, what fault is there in taking as an object something that cannot be used because it exists? To dispel this doubt, it is greeted with "For what reason?" and then "these sentient beings" etc. are spoken. Here it says, for what reason do sentient beings become liberated from sorrow? Taking this as an object appears like the Prajñāpāramitā, so it is a similar cause. Because it is not a result connected to it, it is said that because there is an object, it cannot be used. Again, to dispel the doubt of "How could this be?" it is greeted with "For what reason?" and then "The Prajñāpāramitā is" etc. are spoken. The nature of the non-existence of the nature of sentient beings, whatever has it, is called that. It is thought, how could the result of the similar cause of the mother, which has the nature of the unborn sentient being, be the object of sentient beings? To explain the reason why sentient beings are of unborn nature, it is said "Because the nature of sentient beings does not exist" etc. Among them, non-existence of nature, serenity, and inconceivability should be known to be successively observed etc. The Dharma nature of sentient beings that does not perish is the Suchness that only abides permanently. Not realizing the path of seeing sentient beings as illusory is the very fact that sentient beings cannot manifest complete enlightenment. Not realizing the path of meditating as before is the very fact that sentient beings cannot manifest complete enlightenment as it is. Obtaining the power of sentient beings that cannot be harmed, having the ability like an illusion, is the very accomplishment of truth. Therefore, it should be understood that the power of the Tathāgata, the Prajñāpāramitā, is the accomplishment of truth. It should be known that the nature of the characteristics of self-nature etc. as described above is only the path of meditation for manifest realization. Thus it is said: Its nature is supreme, It does not manifestly gather in all, It establishes Dharmas without an object, It is a great benefit. Thus it is said. After that, the second is extremely

One should meditate on the nature of purity, which is through sequentially taking and abandoning the causes of arising and non-arising. Therefore, in order to temporarily show the cause of arising, the Bhagavan spoke of "Bodhisattva Mahasattva" and so on. The so-called "not hesitating" is not desiring other paths. The so-called "not doubting" is having no duality of mind. The so-called "not being ignorant" is being free from ignorance. The so-called "following" is relying on the Dharma. The so-called "seeking" is relying on the meaning. From these ways, just like the two, causing others to understand accordingly, one should express it with the distinction of meaning in sequence. Regarding "how long should one know to practice and protect," "how long" means a long time. "Practice" refers to undertaking generosity and so on, because it has the state of protecting and guarding without dedicating it to the Bodhi of the Shravakas and so on, so it is said. The so-called "serving and honoring" is through offering retinues and so on. The so-called "asking" is asking about the doubts that arise in the mind, these show reliance on the Buddha. If someone welcomes with the question, "From the power of faith, serving and honoring and so on, what is the connection between faith and serving and honoring and so on?" then why? Answer with "Shariputra" and so on. It means that without a special cause, it is impossible for such faith and so on to arise, therefore one can infer the cause of serving and honoring the Tathagata. The so-called "listening attentively" is to avoid distraction. The so-called "listening respectfully" is because one listens after making a mandala and so on. The so-called "not interrupting speech" is because one does not speak inappropriate words. Saying "practiced for a long time" refers to generosity and so on. The so-called "served and honored many Buddhas" is because one relied on many Buddhas. Hearing has causes and so on.
