It is explained as "taste." Another saying is that it is because of the lack of wisdom and skillful means. Mentioning the five superknowledges is because it is impossible to exhaust defilements at that time, so it is said here. In order to show the greatness of the Mother of the Buddhas by example, it is said, "Kaushika, like this, for example," and so on. Regarding "medicines and stars," medicines refer to grains and so on. Stars refer to Venus and Jupiter and so on, so it is said that way. Or, because some medicines are universally visible at night like stars, it is said that way. They are nourished by the rays of the moon, their bodies are fully grown, and special powers are born, so in order, it is said, "How is the strength and how is the power." "Universally visible" means showing one's own power. Regarding "planets," it refers to Mars and so on. The meaning of showing the example is that it is said, "Kaushika, just like that," and so on. Regarding "after passing away," it means after completely liberating from suffering. Regarding "practicing the Dharma," striving to write the Dharma such as the Sutras is practicing the Dharma. Learning to regard one's own and others' essence as equal is equal practice. In order to avoid being defiled by attachment and so on, practicing the antidote is peaceful practice. Relying on the four means of gathering and so on is virtuous practice. Completely applying is entering. The teaching of complete meditation. Regarding the three sentences "born from Bodhisattvas" and so on, it is due to the distinctions of combination and so on. Regarding "skillful means," it has already been said. Or, it is being skilled in emptiness, great compassion, and the actions arising from them. In order to show the greatness of the Mother in other ways, it is said, "Kaushika, also," and so on. Regarding "attention," it is because of briefly focusing on the general aspect. Regarding "remembrance," it is because of extensively and individually manifesting each part. Again, relying on other meanings, because it is said, "That meaning itself is repetition," so avoiding repetition, death.
