Because of having the thought that only the noble Subhuti is blessed to teach the profound Perfection of Wisdom. Therefore, it is mentioned, "Kaushika Bodhisattva Mahasattva," and so on. The so-called "chapter" comes from what was taught by Subhuti. Because of forgetting that this is actually the blessing of the Tathagata, it is mentioned, "Noble Shariputra," and so on. On the other hand, because the noble Subhuti did not see his ability as before, he said, "Kaushika," and so on. In order to generate respect for the Tathagata and to clarify that one does not have arrogance, it is said, "Kaushika, whoever says this," and so on. That is to indicate the path of seeing through detailed explanations. Therefore, it is said, "Kaushika, whoever says this," and so on. And it is explained, "The Perfection of Wisdom is non-dual, wisdom is the Tathagata." Therefore, here it is said that the Perfection of Wisdom is the Tathagata. In the manner of "Whatever is dependent arising, you regard as emptiness," the suchness of form, etc., is explained by the name of form, etc. Although it is the basis, it becomes the fifth due to the autonomy of what one wants to express. Therefore, the meaning is this: the Tathagata should not be sought on the basis of the suchness of form, etc., which is the basis, nor should it be sought elsewhere. This is only an approximate expression, so it should also be understood in this way: the Tathagata is not the suchness of form, etc., nor is it other. This is clearly stated in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Perfection of Wisdom Sutra: "Kaushika, the Tathagata is not seen in the suchness of form. In the Tathagata, the suchness of form is also not seen. Apart from the suchness of form, the Tathagata is also not seen. Apart from the Tathagata, the suchness of form is also not seen," and so on. Because there is no other dharma apart from these two, the statement is introduced by welcoming the doubt of "Why should one not seek the Perfection of Wisdom in form, etc., and elsewhere?"

Named Kauśika and so forth. Here, the meaning of the language is: Form and so on, truly becoming the basis, is not the purity of Prajñāpāramitā, because it is inverted. Therefore, form and so on, being the nature of a pure basis, is not the special cause of the extremely pure Prajñāpāramitā, so one should not seek Prajñāpāramitā from form and so on, nor is it another dharma that contradicts this, because it is also inverted, nor is it in other places. However, form and so on are not understood as they are in reality, that is (Prajñāpāramitā). Therefore, it is said that the suchness of form and so on and the Buddhas, in the ultimate sense, are the same in nature, because there are no objects of dependence and support, so there is no place to understand the names between them. In this way, when focusing on all dharmas, the forbearance of knowing dharma in suffering will arise. Because hearing one aspect, one understands what was said at the beginning, in order to show the aspects of the four kṣaṇas of knowing dharma in suffering and so on, it is said: Noble Subhūti, like this and so on. In order to follow the intention with correct display, it is said: Thus, thus and so on. That and that which is not its nature, that which is not that thing arises from a cause. With such reasoning, if the cause of form and so on should not reasonably become the great elements and so on, then how could the Prajñāpāramitā that arises from that object become the great elements and so on? When such doubts arise, welcome them with "Why?", and then say: Kauśika and so on. In reality, because there is no birth, dwelling, and destruction, form and so on are the great elements. Form and so on, which have the characteristic of change, are non-existent, so with the measure that can cut off, because there is no object, it is immeasurable. For those with form, the measure is the measure of shape from the atom to the form, for those without form, the measure is the measure of nature. Form and so on

English
For those, since it is without self-nature like the sky, therefore the object of focus is immeasurable. Since it is similar to illusion, therefore form and so on have no prior or subsequent limit, so it is boundless. By showing that great cause leads to great effect and so on, and showing that attachment to it is a bond, so it is said, "Kaushika, just like that," and so on. Not being attached should apply to everything. If that is the case, what will happen? It is said, "Kaushika, therefore," and so on. It is said thus, form and so on are the self-nature of the Dharma realm, so it is great, and similarly, they are immeasurable. Like the former, since the sky does not exist as a measure, so they do not exist. Since form and so on have no self-nature, so there are no two extremes of permanence and annihilation, therefore it is beyond extremes. When focusing on all dharmas in this way, in order, endurance of knowing suffering as dharma will arise, knowing the origin as dharma will arise, and endurance of knowing the origin as dharma will arise, it is said. Only with the meaning of infinity, by way of negating the four aspects of arising, it is shown, that is, "Kaushika, because the object of focus is infinite," and so on. In order to explain this brief statement in detail, it is said, "Kaushika, how," and so on. The beginning is the prior limit, that is, the cause. The middle is the time of existence. The end is the subsequent limit, that is, destruction. Therefore, it is because there is no initial limit and so on. The summary is saying, "Kaushika, with these names," and so on. The names are what is shown. Thus, first, through the infinite object of focus, the aspect of the cause is negated, and in order to negate the aspect of arising, in order to say the infinite object of focus, so it is said, "Kaushika, furthermore," and so on. Since it is separated from the prior and subsequent limits, so it is infinite. The time of existence has become two limits, therefore it is completely cut off, so it is closed, and without that it is infinite. Repeating that, that is, "their beginning" or
