Therefore, those sentient beings are like illusions, and illusions and sentient beings are non-dual, indivisible. Similarly, because they are like dreams, dreams and those sentient beings are non-dual, indivisible. In order to show that difference, it is said, "Sons of the gods, all dharmas are also," and so on. This is the concise point. What is said for the sake of distinction is "The stream-enterer is also," and so on. When pervasiveness is thus shown, someone says, "If the Blessed One is like an illusion, then what is the cause of the perfection of all qualities?" The answer is, "Noble Subhuti, the perfectly complete Buddha is also," and so on. The perfectly complete Buddha is the Tathagata of the body. The answer is, "Sons of the gods, nirvana is also," and so on. Where it is said that nirvana is also, is the particularly excellent Dharmakaya, the nature of non-dual wisdom, also like illusion and dream? There, other dharmas, the Rupakaya and so on, are they not spoken of? However, it is only spoken of. Because the two negations show the real meaning. Because if only the Blessed One of the nature as described above is made manifest, it is the cause of the perfection of all qualities; otherwise, because it is a nature that contradicts valid cognition, it is considered to be inverted. Because attachment to things is very strong, it is said again that the true Dharma path is realized, that is, "Noble Subhuti, nirvana is also," and so on. Otherwise, like the heretics, because there is one-sided emptiness, it is unreasonable to accept things, therefore the answer is "Sons of the gods, I," and so on. If it is said, this is acceptance. That word is a conjunction of sentences. Thus it shows saying: Although there is no dharma more excellent than nirvana, even so, it is admitted and said: Even if there is another dharma more excellent than nirvana, that

Furthermore, it is said that this Dharma is like illusion and so on. Moreover, the venerable Nāgārjuna said: If one accepts things as real, then desire and hatred will arise, and one will hold wrong views. From that, disputes will arise. That is the root of all views. Without it, afflictions will not arise. Therefore, having fully understood it, one will abandon views and afflictions. Who will understand it? It is the one who sees dependent arising. The supreme knower said that what arises from dependence is unborn. Thus it is said. The concluding words such as "Thus" were not written by the interpreter. Having shown the source incidentally, now, in order to show that the path of the solitary Buddha is particularly superior even from the perspective of dependent arising, the question is asked: The venerable Subhūti and others said that, by gradually abandoning and not abandoning the conceptualizations of the apprehended and the apprehender, in such a way, with regard to the Perfection of Wisdom which is the nature of the path of the solitary Buddha, to whom among beings with what kind of lineage will this teaching be truly apprehended by wisdom through the blessing of the Tathāgata? The venerable Ānanda will explain, so he said: Venerable ones, etc. Non-returning means not returning from the solitary enlightenment due to the realization of the definitive aspect. He himself desires to manifest enlightenment, therefore he is a Bodhisattva. By teaching the Dharma with his body, in a Buddha-field where Buddhas do not appear, he has the intention to benefit sentient beings, therefore he is a great Bodhisattva. Having a complete view means having the correct view of wisdom, which is the middle way. Arhat, the one who has exhausted defilements, means that he is worthy of offerings because he has abandoned the obscurations of the path of seeing by himself. These three words refer to the lineage of those who have truly accomplished enlightenment in sequence, the lineage obtained by the nature of Dharma, and the individual of the lineage who has certainty about it. The word "saṃ" should be understood as all conceptualizations being mutually dependent. Furthermore, the venerable Subhūti's

In order to show in other places, "endowed with life" and so on are mentioned. If the solitary Buddha individually realizes enlightenment, even if it is preceded by showing the path close to oneself, how is it that no clinging arises? Meeting this doubt with "Why cling?", what is said is "Here" and so on. "Here" refers to the time of realizing the path of the solitary Buddha, because there is no need for others to instruct, it refers to the solitary Buddha who realizes his own ground. By stating briefly, through the way of showing great meaning, nothing is said. By stating extensively, through the way of clarifying the condensed meaning, it is not fully manifested. By showing the nature of how it abides, it is not fully established. In order to gather closely, therefore, "therefore" and so on are said. Therefore, no meaningless reason is made, such as merely stating, and merely because of that reason, no true clinging arises, because there is nothing to be shown. Just like the illusory flowers, even if they ultimately have no nature, if the nature of the determined place and so on is not examined, the very joy disappears. Similarly, even if there is no basis for becoming a real thing, one can obtain certainty about each of the realized dharmas. In order to show this, in order to closely establish the form of the illusory flower with the basis as the main thing, then "Lord Indra" and so on are said. The so-called "to show this category of dharma" refers to this category of dharma of the solitary Buddha, which has the nature of dharma, such as the ten virtues of the solitary Buddha's path. The so-called "I also" is a definite grasp, a synonym for "only for the sake of offering." The so-called "manifest transformation" is produced by the power of meditation. The so-called "it was done in the same way only after the arising of the mind" refers to "from that Lord Indra" and so on. The so-called "manifestly destroyed" is destroyed by manifesting and tending towards. The so-called "for the sake of recollecting Lord Indra," the word "following" in it means indication.
