For those who wish to hear, even without sound, the meaning appears to their consciousness, hence it is called teaching the Dharma without sound. In other Sutras, it is also said that Pratyekabuddhas teach the Dharma with their bodies, and similarly, Indra also answers with verses in his mind, and so on. As it is said: Whatever meaning, to whomever; wishes to hear in whatever way; in that very place, even without sound; the meaning appears just as it is. Thus it is said. Having shown the distinction in this way, otherwise, if the cause is not special, then the result should not be special either. The path of the distinguished ones is only distinguished, thus declaring the true path of the Pratyekabuddhas, such as: "O sons of the gods, therefore," and so on. Because, O son of the gods, you yourself enter even more remotely than remoteness, and so on, having stated these reasons, therefore, please also know these others, this is the remaining meaning. Thus, I will enter into extreme remoteness and so on, this is what is intended to be expressed. Wanting to attain is wanting to realize directly. Wanting to abide is wanting to become non-distracted. "He does not rely on this forbearance" means that it is impossible for that person to rely on this path of knowing the object of forbearance that understands the Dharma, because if it were not so, understanding would not be reasonable. This also says that the understanding of the path is the object of all paths. Showing the distinction from the context of the path of the Pratyekabuddhas is saying that the distinguished path of the Pratyekabuddhas is the abandonment of the conceptualization of the apprehended, not only is it the understanding of the path with this nature, but it is also the nature of the path of the Shravakas and so on. "Apply it in the same way" means that the statement "He does not accomplish this forbearance as the basis of the path" should be combined with the three sentences beginning with "wanting to obtain the fruit of returning once," this is the summary. Saying that only the conceptualization of the apprehended is abandoned shows that the conceptualization of the apprehender is not abandoned.

And also, if there is no grasper, then there is no grasping there. Thinking that this reasoning is unreasonable, it is said that the elder Rabjor asked, "How does one listen to the Dharma?" The word "how" is discrimination. One who possesses the discrimination of grasping, who has become a vessel of the Dharma of the Pratyekabuddha vehicle, is a listener of the Dharma. What kind of nature is to be grasped as a Pratyekabuddha? To answer, the sons of the gods said, "We listen to the Dharma," and so on. The intention is this: if there is an object with its own characteristics, then the consciousness that grasps it, without discrimination, arises with its own characteristics, and if it is not without it, this is the nature of things. However, the discriminating consciousness that grasps forms and so on from beginningless time arises from the awakening of the habitual tendencies of one's own continuum thrown off by cessation. Therefore, there is no certainty that the discrimination of grasping arises only in the discrimination of the grasped. Therefore, those that are like the nature of illusion and the object of a snake are the nature of inverted appearance. Because they are related to the discrimination of grasping, they should be accepted as grasping Pratyekabuddhas. Although the object grasped by such discrimination is clearly grasping, why is it false? This doubt is questioned. With this welcome, it is said, "Thus," and so on. Those Pratyekabuddhas do not degenerate or manifest in the states of non-absorption and absorption, respectively. "In the aspect of the discrimination of grasping" is the remainder. Because discrimination does not actually appear, and because it deceives by near delusion, thus it is thought. In this way, although the discrimination of grasping has not been abandoned, it has been explained as the nature of the path of the Pratyekabuddhas. Because it is said to be similar in some ways, like illusion and emanation, sentient beings are the nature of illusion.

In order to dispel this view, incidentally, the meaning of the discrimination that is spoken of is: the noble Subhuti Are these sentient beings like illusions? Are these inverted natures not illusions? Therefore, it is thought that saying sentient beings truly exist does not show it well. In order to answer this question, the sons of the gods say: These sentient beings are like illusions, etc. Thinking this way, an illusion is like the form of an elephant, etc., because it cannot be distinguished from lumps of clay, etc., so it is not other. It is not other, nor is it non-other, because those with eyes not deluded by mantras, etc., do not see lumps of clay, etc., in that way. Therefore, it cannot be said that it is neither itself nor other, because it transcends the nature of things, so it cannot be said to truly exist like a person, etc. Nor can it be definitively said that it does not exist conventionally, because it is obvious to children and has become an object of experience, like discrimination, etc. Therefore, whatever is dependently originated, its nature transcends the terms of existence and non-existence in the ultimate sense, like an illusion. These things, such as sentient beings, are also like that, which is based on the reason of nature, relying on some well-known things to prove unknown things, so the example of illusion is used. The reason is that these sentient beings are only of the nature of illusion, therefore, it is meaningless to truly say that there is mind. The two words, like illusion and like dream, are spoken according to the distinction of the objects of the state of being awake and not awake. Non-duality means that the essence is the same. If you ask how this is understood? The answer is that it is said to be indivisible, because whatever does not have many divisible things is called indivisible, because it covers everything, so it is universally applicable. This is their view. The meaning of his words is that because it is a false entity.
