Pa'o. Furthermore, the one called the venerable Shariputra is thus summarized. The meaning of the great object is explained by mentioning "if" and so on. Thinking in this way, as long as one engages in grasping at characteristics with a manner of manifest attachment, for that long, characteristics are the afflictions of a Bodhisattva, it is said, therefore the precipice of the object becomes a downfall into the afflictions of samsara. Therein, form is that which has become the result. The characteristic of form is the co-arising cause. The thought "Is it a characteristic of form?" is the cause of close acquisition. The arising of form is that which has arisen. Cessation is due to the impermanence of the moment. Emptiness is the absence of both, this is engaging in the inverted, one should recognize that it is unskilled in means. Having shown it from the aspect of reversal, what is spoken from the aspect of following is "How should one practice?" and so on. "Practicing in that way" is a summary, since the characteristics of self and general are not suitable, all phenomena are without characteristics, the form and so on that have the distinction of being objects, the Bodhisattva who practices in that way is practicing in the nature of great patience, the perfection of wisdom. In what way should one focus? Saying "Even if one practices that" and so on, one should think, "Establishment and refutation, those themselves are possessed, those themselves are refuted, in every way there is no conceptualization." Furthermore, if there is no conceptualization, how should one meditate? With such doubt, after welcoming with "Why is that?", the words "All phenomena" and so on are spoken. By whose very nature alone is the support of the characteristics of form and so on separated, by the faith of mindfulness, one does not have faith, by the mindfulness of that very suchness, there is no complete knowledge, in this way, in the manner of the nature of reality,

Self-nature is without self-nature. That absence of nature is indeed self-nature. Those are unborn and without definite departure. Pure and those are without characteristics. Not relying on its characteristics, there is no concept of belief or disbelief. Thus it is said. Therefore, it is said that obtaining patience does not lead to falling into evil destinies. What the teacher's venerable one said, that Bodhisattvas do not generate patience, is something to be contemplated. Because the realization of patience by Bodhisattvas is spoken of. It is also not contradictory to the sutra that obtaining patience does not lead to going to evil destinies. Because it is considered to be due to the power of karma. This must be known with certainty in this way. Thus, it is said elsewhere that by the command of the Blessed One, Shariputra and others also happily took it and went as a cause for going to hell. Now, below patience, what is said about the object of the small root of virtue belonging to the supreme of Dharma is this, etc. What kind of samadhi does not take all dharmas closely, that is called samadhi that does not take all dharmas. This is in reality, because it takes forms etc. that have become the self-nature of samadhi as its object, therefore it is said to be vast, etc., thus it is connected. In what way should it be objectified? It is said that this samadhi abides by, etc. The way is that by the power of one's own aspiration, merit, wisdom, and the realm of Dharma, it is naturally accomplished, and in all world realms, according to one's capacity, the function of samadhi enters, thus because it is objectified from the perspective of the result, quickly unsurpassed

Now, because the benefit of others is complete, it is called Tathagata. Having abandoned the obscurations of afflictions and knowledge, along with their predispositions, and being endowed with the perfection of one's own benefit, it is called Arhat. Having understood the path that leads to the attainment of both perfections, it is called Perfectly Awakened Buddha. The so-called "prediction" refers to the fact that Buddhas make predictions for those who have entered into correct samadhi, and this is the nature of reality. Because the object of focus is the cause of prediction, such as special forms. In what way should one focus? The text has mentioned "that is" and so on. The so-called "not truly seeing" refers to the mind without discrimination. The so-called "also does not become arrogant" refers to the mind with discrimination. Because that is not reality. The so-called "I am in equanimity" refers to one who has attained samadhi. The so-called "entering into samadhi" and so on, refers to the discriminating thoughts corresponding to the preliminary practices, the main practice, and the subsequent practice, or the discriminating thoughts corresponding to the three times. Regarding "from all" and so on, the so-called "all" refers to these two, namely all things and all aspects. As it is said, from the classification of things such as the past, it is from all. The differentiated things of the discriminating thoughts with objects such as aggregates, are all. From the small of the small and so on, it is also from all aspects of the aspects. All aspects with predispositions are in all places. Since all discriminating thoughts are unreasonable, when a Bodhisattva realizes with the nature of samadhi, thoughts such as "I am in equanimity" will not arise, because they are not possessed, so they will not arise, because one must train in aspects through the door of the nature of reality. The meaning of the great object of focus is: Venerable Subhuti, with what kind of samadhi does one pass away, etc. Because it belongs to the great excellence of the Dharma, can that samadhi be shown? This refers to what Bodhisattvas, etc., are different natures. Some scriptures recite "abiding in what kind of samadhi", therefore, asking "can that samadhi be shown" is inappropriate.
