This is in order to enter without reversing. Therefore, since there is no other dharma more excellent than these bases for what must necessarily arise, and since all dharmas are without an object of focus, in order for it to necessarily arise, it should be known that what necessarily arises through these eight alone is the proof of what necessarily arises. As it is said: 'Intentional conduct and equality, benefiting sentient beings and effortless, transcending limits as emergence, obtaining self-nature as emergence, all-knowingness and, having the object of the path as emergence, this self of eight aspects, is called the proof of emergence.' Thus it is proclaimed. The chapter called "Acting in All-Knowingness" is so named because, since all things are completely known through all aspects without remainder, that which is related to the Thus-Gone One and should be subsequently cultivated is the very all-knowingness that has become the conduct, and because the nature of generating the mind of enlightenment, etc., is repeatedly stated here in the manner of the nature of cause and effect, this treatise is a chapter. From the explanation of the Prajñāpāramitā, the Light of the Abhisamayālaṅkāra, the chapter called "The Conduct of All-Knowingness" is the first chapter. First section: Expressing All-Knowingness itself.
