If someone asks: Is form itself separate from the self-nature of form? The answer that form itself is separate from the self-nature of form is unreasonable. If further doubts are raised: How are form, etc., separate from self-nature? To dispel this doubt, by revealing that Prajnaparamita itself is separate from self-nature, it is also revealed that other things are also separate from self-nature. To explain this reason, it is said "Prajnaparamita is" etc. Prajnaparamita is separate from the self-nature of general characteristics. Also, the word "also" indicates that Prajnaparamita is also separate from self-nature and special characteristics. If someone asks: Then, is the result of the teachings reversed, therefore there are characteristics and things characterized? The answer is: "Characteristics also" etc. are said. Characteristics are universal, while the basis of characteristics, i.e., things characterized, are special. If someone asks: Then, do these two have self-nature? The answer is: "Self-nature is also separate from the characteristics of self-nature" is said. Things characterized and characteristics are completely cut off, separated from verbal expression, they themselves exist as things characterized and characteristics, this can be considered as imputed. Think like this. Therefore, someone might say that emptiness specifies by the identity of things characterized and characteristics, therefore, form etc. with the particularity of no self-nature are specified. To answer the question "In what way is it specified?", this question is put forward in advance, and the meaning of the way is explained, i.e., "Reverend Subhuti, what" etc. Here, "for" refers to this specification, what is learned in the mundane that leads to the definite arising of all-knowing wisdom? That is, through this cause, will one obtain the roots of virtue belonging to small patience? Think like this. In order to confirm that what is said does not contradict the Dharma nature, it is said "Reverend Shariputra, it is so" etc. From the perspective of ultimate and mundane, the self-nature of the non-substantiality of form etc. is the way, by practicing it

Om! Furthermore, how does one train in the root of virtue of minor endurance, so that it leads to the state of omniscience? This is met with the question, "Why is there this doubt?" The meaning of the intermediate object is explained as: "O venerable Shariputra, all phenomena are without definite arising," and so on. It is intended that when the distinction of objects from higher to higher becomes a distinction of realization, then it will definitely lead to that. The particle 'ni' is for emphasis, meaning that all phenomena are unborn. Why? Because phenomena are impermanent for a single instant, thus the nature of arising is prevented, so there is no definite arising, and it is not a limb of nirvana. 'All phenomena' means that because they are unborn by nature, they are objects such as form that have the distinction of being without arising and ceasing. In what way should one focus? It is mentioned, "If one practices in this way," etc. If one practices and meditates in this way, according to the manner just described, it is because all meanings of practice are meanings of realization. "Near" means that because one quickly obtains realization, one will abide near. "For the sake of completely ripening sentient beings" means that it is for the sake of definitely joining with virtuous Dharma, it is for the sake of completely ripening sentient beings. In "body," etc., because one knows the self-nature of all phenomena, it is said that all aspects of body, etc., are completely pure, because they become the cause of complete purity. From training in the aspect of complete purity through the door of cause, the three actions of the body become completely pure, so the body becomes completely pure. Complete purity of mind is the complete purity of the three actions of mind. Complete purity of signs is because the thirty-two major marks of a great person abide when they abide, are clear, and are completely perfect. Complete purity of the Buddha-field is the complete purity of sentient beings and the world of containers. Because these are not present in all aspects in the stage that is in accordance with the aspect of definite discrimination, it is thought that they are only slightly present.
