Thus, contemplate. Regarding "learning in suchness," etc., by the meaning of non-difference, the nature of suchness is indeed suchness. Regarding "learning in the nature of its cause," etc., it should be said that it is the occasion of connecting the three verses, etc. The so-called "serving and honoring the Tathagata" means offering a complete retinue to the Tathagatas, listening to what they say, and serving and honoring them with offerings, etc., which is what it is called. Are "serving and honoring the Tathagata," etc., and "listening to the mother of the Victorious Ones," etc., not unrelated? If so, how can this be inferred from that? Receiving such doubts, the question is asked with "like this, for example," etc. From the Prajnaparamita, all-knowingness, that is, the Buddha himself, can be well distinguished and truly generated. Therefore, one should strive from this, because without a cause, there is no result. In order to show it with an example, the Blessed One asked "like this, for example," etc. It shows that without a cause, there is no result, so because it arises from the Prajnaparamita, if one seeks the Tathagata himself, then from the realm of listening, etc., one will surely plant the seeds of habituation that fully grow, so one will attain the state of the Tathagata. Such equality, etc., in this, sometimes arises depending on a special cause, so one can infer that one's own special cause is serving and honoring the Tathagata, etc. Why? Because in causes and effects, etc., this Dharma nature abides as such. The reason why that is not that, the one with a cause, the reason why that is not that, arises from the cause. Thus it is said. Because of becoming the master, he granted good speech, and following what Indra said, the Blessed One said "Kaushika, it is so, it is so," etc. In order to show the great in the small, the Blessed One asked "The Blessed One does not praise the perfection of generosity," etc. Praise is benefit.

It should be understood that "not speaking with the distinction of brevity and extensiveness" means just that. The term "not fully proclaiming" should be understood as merely uttering the name. The term "fully proclaiming the single name" means uttering the name many times. The noble Asanga said that the characteristics of each of the perfections, such as generosity, are: solely relying on the mind of enlightenment is purity of support; universally practicing with all things without remainder is purity of thing; aiming for the benefit and happiness of all sentient beings is purity of purpose; completely grasping with non-discriminating wisdom is purity of skillful means; completely dedicating to the unexcelled, perfectly complete enlightenment is purity of dedication; and perfectly accomplishing the removal of afflictive and cognitive obscurations is purity of complete purification. In order to agree, he said, "Ananda, it is so," and so forth. If all six perfections are the cause of attaining Buddhahood, then why is only one mainly taught? To dispel this doubt, he greeted with "Why is that?" and then said, "The Perfection of Wisdom is," and so forth. Because the three spheres are completely pure, and all generosity and so forth are dedicated to omniscience, it is the first to enter, therefore it is the forerunner, therefore its praise is spoken and its name is fully proclaimed, connecting with the previous. In order to show from the very words of the meaning that has been spoken, he said, "Ananda, what do you think?" and so forth. The so-called "generosity dedicated to omniscience" is that which is not dedicated to Buddhahood for the sake of all sentient beings with an action of non-objectification; the remainder is the Perfection of Wisdom. Such generosity, because it is exhausted by enjoying the fruit, is not excellent. Those with the wisdom of the teacher, the actual practice, and the subsequent practice, show by saying, "It is not the meaning grasped from the question itself." In order to also compare ethics and so forth.

Thus, he spoke of the discipline that was not fully dedicated, and so on. Thus, through the gateway of dedication, by the power of being completely grasped by wisdom, it was shown that generosity and so on are the nature of going to the other shore. In order to show the nature of the perfection of wisdom, the Blessed One said, "Ananda, what do you think, all roots of virtue are dedicated to omniscience," and so on. Because there is no object of focus, the result is inconceivable. The Blessed One reported, "Yes, Blessed One, it is so," and so on. Because ordinary people with characteristics cannot conceive of it, it is inconceivable. Because it is not the realm of hearers and so on, it is supremely inconceivable. In order to briefly summarize the meaning of the Perfection of Wisdom, the Blessed One said, "Ananda, therefore it is supreme," and so on. Because it is a preliminary conclusion, the Blessed One said, "Ananda, therefore all roots of virtue are completely dedicated to omniscience," and so on. "Guiding" means that generosity and so on guide to enlightenment. "Completely guiding" means averting all harm. In this way, the five perfections, such as generosity, which are spoken of in this way, are included within the Perfection of Wisdom, and if it is proclaimed, then all six perfections will be proclaimed, so it is not just showing the meaning of the Mother of the Buddhas. Whatever I say in praise of the Perfection of Wisdom, that is the main meaning, so there is no fault. In order to show this meaning by example, the Blessed One said, "Ananda, for example, the great earth," and so on. "Will be born" means will increase. The meaning shown by the example is that the Blessed One said, "Ananda, thus," and so on. Taking the example of a medium short time, he reported, "Blessed One, for a while," and so on. All these qualities of the Perfection of Wisdom, these are the Mother.
