I joined because of having the same thought, but it is not to say that all are vessels of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment. The so-called "difficult to accomplish" means difficult to proceed. In order to show the aspect of the small being great, the Blessed One said, "Kaushika, therefore, thus," and so on. "Quickly" means rapidly. "Happily" means without afflictions. "Uninterruptedly" means again and again. Is it not that the Tathagata himself is seeking for the sake of, so should one not train in the conduct of enlightenment? Then, how should one train in the Prajnaparamita? In order to dispel this doubt, by welcoming with "Why is that?", the Blessed One said, "Kaushika, like this," and so on. The meaning of the words is: Because formerly, when the Blessed One was practicing the conduct of a Bodhisattva, in order to perfect the practice, he trained in the Prajnaparamita in a non-attaching manner, likewise, we should also rely on the Prajnaparamita as the cause for obtaining all the qualities of the Buddhas. Otherwise, with attachment, the conduct of a Bodhisattva will not be perfected, and enlightenment will not be realized, so the Bodhisattva knows. In order to show the aspect of the medium being small, the Blessed One said, "Kaushika, therefore, thus," and so on. "The nature of the seven jewels" is: Musaragala, Vaidurya. Silver and crystal and gold, pearl, red coral, and gemstones. Because it is the most excellent of all, it is a jewel. Saying seven jewels, or just a part of the color and shape, other jewels different from that, it is said to be other jewels. As it is said, so it is the nature of those seven jewels. "Having the heart of the Tathagata's relics" means that the Tathagata's relics are in the center. "Many kotis" means that a koti is many kotis. "From its basis" means from that cause. "Some people" recite it as "from that basis of merit." Its meaning is: To the stupa with the heart of relics,

Depending on that resolve, does that basis generate more merit, which is the cause for attaining Buddhahood itself? As for the term 'merit,' the Abhidharmasamuccaya states: 'Whatever virtue is fully associated with desire is called merit. That which is fully associated with form and formlessness is called immovability.' Although the names are different, here, it should be understood that generally, virtue is called merit, because this meaning also exists in the realm of form. The statement 'Many Bhagavats, many Sugatas' indicates 'many' because it is very vast and can be accomplished. From the distinctions of conduct and so forth, the term 'Sugata' should also be understood. That is its meaning. 'Manifest faith' means to generate manifest faith. 'Reflection' means to keep in mind. 'Devotion' means to focus with a mind of special devotion. 'Mind in harmony' means that the mind clearly inclines because of seeing goodness. 'Having generated the mind of enlightenment' means taking the bodhisattva vows as the cause for unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment and making the mind a special mind. 'Explaining the meaning' means taking only the meaning and showing it. 'Understanding according to the mind' means to ascertain without contradicting each other. In 'How is it accomplished?' and so on, with whatever accomplishment of faith in the form of medium smallness and so on, and what is wisdom, how is that also accomplished? That is to say, this definitive wisdom of the perfection should be fully examined and fully understood. The reason is to make the sacred Dharma abide for a long time. The statement 'That is the way of the Buddhas' and so on, the way of the Buddhas is mainly the mother, the Perfection of Wisdom itself, and if this is not written in books, there will be no reading and recitation and so on, so that it will not be interrupted. Likewise, may the Prajnaparamita not dwell, and may the sacred Dharma of realization and teaching not disappear. Because it is also the mother of the Bodhisattvas, it dwells in books, through listening and so on.
