The nature of sixteen moments gathered by the four truths. For the yogi who has the patience and knowledge of the Dharma and who realizes that all dharmas are without self-nature, like a magician, and who has no manifest attachment to anything, he meditates on the antidote to the object to be abandoned. Thus, the instruction on the path of seeing is shown, and just as conditioned and unconditioned things cannot be established as mutually different because of their single nature, so too, because it is aimed at the object that has been directly realized by the path of seeing as described above, there is no establishment of the nature of the path of meditation because the paths of seeing and meditation have not become different. However, it is the path of meditating on the nature of dependent arising as the antidote to the object to be abandoned by it. Thus, these ten instructions are said to be spoken by the word Prajnaparamita because it is desired to be brief here. Thus, in the Twenty-five Thousand Prajnaparamita, the meaning of each instruction is clearly shown, but it is not written to be understood by the fear of extensive meaning. To what kind of Bodhisattva should such an instruction be given? The Blessed One, however, and so on, has been mentioned. The conjunction "if" is synonymous with "that is." "Thus" means that the Bodhisattva and the Prajnaparamita are unattainable. When the ten objects of instruction are spoken of, the mind is not afraid and does not cower, because it is not ignorant. Because he relies on the Dharma with faith, he is not initially frightened by the fear of having no place to go. He does not shrink back from the teachings and is not lazy, because he does not become discouraged, because he does not change into his former nature. Because he is endowed with wisdom, he is not afraid of all fears among those who know the truth. For those who are shown closely, his mind does not wander outwards and he does not regret it, because what?

Therefore, the nature of mind is that which subdues the mind and does not become outwardly scattered. Because afterwards, the mind will not be subdued. Therefore, by possessing faith and wisdom, one will not ultimately be always filled with fear, and will not be frightened by all uncertain fears. Or, at the time of speaking and so on, by definitely grasping both the text and the meaning in order, one will not be timid, will always not be discouraged, and will not shrink back. Why is that? Because by means of direct perception, inference, and scriptural authority, without contradicting, one has completely ascertained the meaning of one's own realm, therefore one will not shrink back, and this mind will not be outwardly scattered. Because it has been subdued and will not be outwardly scattered. Therefore, in the beginning, middle, and end, one will not be alarmed, will not be afraid, and will not always be filled with fear, thus connect it. The so-called "this is it" refers to the bodhisattva who is skilled in distinguishing between the conventional and the ultimate, and who is free from discouragement and so on towards the teachings that have been spoken as such, that is the meaning of "that is it." The so-called "this is it," if the nature has not been spoken of, then how does one hold the Prajnaparamita? The answer is: In stating the meaning, that is, at the time of speaking and so on, not doing things like becoming discouraged, that meaning is the ten aspects of practicing the Prajnaparamita that have already been spoken of, therefore, by grasping through meaning, there is no fault. The brief summary is that "if" and so on have been spoken. If that bodhisattva, with the teachings just spoken, abides in and possesses the realm that has been spoken as such, then at that time, this is the approximate instruction that seeks the benefit of that bodhisattva, which enables one to obtain benefit, that is, the instruction and the subsequent instruction, it should be known. Having done so, for the Prajnaparamita, which is the nature of the mind of enlightenment and the Dharma that arises from it, what is the practice that is not tiring, what is the cause that is not turned by other vehicles, that is, completely holding the path, what is the cause of going without relying on others, that is, the five eyes, what is the cause of perfecting the accumulation of all-knowingness, that is, the six superknowledges, and what is the cause of ultimately going, that is, seeing the path.
