Just as the sunlight of the perfectly complete Buddhas, such as the Unsurpassed One, awakens to eliminate the darkness of non-afflictions, having generated the mind of enlightenment, in the state of liberation, just as wandering in places like hell, proceeding in sequence, accumulating the accumulations of enlightenment, one becomes the teacher of the world, as is certain from the scriptures. Therefore, due to the cessation of karma and afflicted emotions of existence, the result of birth in the three realms will cease. Since it is not born in the realm of the uncontaminated, how can there be contradiction? Therefore, it should be known that it is reasonable to say that all vehicles are in every way inclined towards the Great Vehicle. Even so, the words spoken in the Sutra of the White Lotus of the Good Dharma and the chapter of the Truthful One, such as, 'Shariputra, you will become a perfectly complete Buddha in the future,' and similarly, 'The vehicle is one, there is no second,' etc., are well quoted. In order to completely dispel the fear of some, the meaning of the 'One Vehicle' shown in the Tenth Dharma Sutra and the Jewel Cloud Sutra, etc., is the meaning of expediency, as the Blessed One himself clarified. In the Lankavatara Sutra, it is also said, 'Great Wisdom, the Hearer's Vehicle does not liberate, but they ultimately reach the Great Vehicle.' Similarly, the noble Nagarjuna and his followers, those who speak of the principle of the One Vehicle, also said: After obtaining two kinds of enlightenment, those who are afraid of existence, delight in the exhaustion of life, and become those who have the notion of obtaining liberation from nirvana. In reality, there is no nirvana there, however, they will not be born in the three realms. Those who abide in the realm of the uncontaminated, because they do not understand and do not abandon afflictions, will later be exhorted by the Buddha, accumulate the accumulations of enlightenment, and they will also guide the world. Thus it is said. Thus, in order to show the pleasing Suchness in every way, in order to increase the joy of those who have developed respect for the noble Subhuti, the Blessed One said, 'Well done,' etc.

After saying these words, he was amazed and said: Even though it is a realm of practice, you have spoken of such meanings with such clear words, as if they were manifest. It is wonderful! Wonderful! He said this twice. Because it only showed the clear understanding of what he wanted to express, he was very happy and said again: Wonderful! It means that whatever is said is wonderful! The word "whatever" is a conjunction in the sentence, meaning "for what reason." Some sutras say "for what reason," that is, for what reason do you guide with the One Vehicle, causing the Bodhisattvas to show their own tenets and feel happy, it is wonderful! The venerable Asanga and those who follow his treatises and speak of various vehicles explain it differently, saying that the words such as entering into the truly certain meaning are the definitive meaning, while the words such as "however" are the provisional meaning. Therefore, the universal meaning is in terms of those who have the Buddha-nature. Similarly, some are for guidance, the perfect Buddhas, for those who are not certain, teach the One Vehicle. These words completely eliminate the contradictions with other sutras. For the previous school of guiding with the One Vehicle, those who are Hearers and Bodhisattvas who attain great Bodhi with the awakening of Bodhi as the guide, are shown as the Hearer lineage only based on that time, while those who rely on the unsurpassed Bodhi from the very beginning with the stages of realization such as extreme joy, because they belong to the Mahayana lineage, there is no contradiction with the difference of lineage. It is enough to mention it in passing. Now, in order to show the nature and function of understanding the path itself, therefore, the Blessed One said, "We," and so on. Remembering the wise who have already bestowed benefits is gratitude. Because the special path and so on have not yet completely fulfilled the needs, are you not still doing good? In order to eliminate the doubt of why it was said like that, he greeted with "for what reason," and what was said was "Blessed One, before," and so on.
