Like eliminating the obscurations of knowledge. Its root is considered to be compassion. Always thinking of benefiting sentient beings. As it is said, therefore, one should generate the mind of self-nature that focuses on cause and effect. If one wants to make a detailed distinction, it should be done in the same way. Otherwise, merely making a detailed distinction of the cause would not be considered as having made all its distinctions, and therefore it would not be considered a complete distinction. This is the view of some. Others say that the eight minds, such as being like a great king, are actually encompassed by the special path of the Bodhisattva grounds. The scriptures that show all the divisions of generating the mind of enlightenment are taught in the Twenty-five Thousand Verse, but here they are not written in detail because of the concern about the abundance of scriptures. By doing so, here it is only mentioning the beginning, and for the sake of subduing sentient beings who like to understand in brief, it is starting to explain, so it is not explained in detail. The distinction of the meaning as it is said must be understood with certainty, because this precious Sutra is entering into the meaning of briefly summarizing the Twenty-five Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita, as mentioned before. As the teacher Dignāga also said: All that is said in this way, this Eight Thousand Verse does not lack meaning. Here it is considered a summary of the scriptures, and the meaning is just as it is said. Thus it is said. All aspects are to be realized by the wisdom of the Tathagata, therefore, just as the profound Prajnaparamita itself has no ability, because of not eliminating the obscurations of knowledge, even the venerable Subhuti also doubts that he has no ability, therefore he only realizes it by the urging of the venerable Shariputra, because he does not understand the power of its blessings, and the realization is from "then" and so on. "Thinking like this" and so on refers to the arising of the discriminations mentioned below. Expressing that itself is from "what" and so on. The word "what" is discrimination. "Self" refers to what is related to oneself. Its object is not the self-nature made by its other.

However, it is oneself, that is, what is done by oneself. Wisdom is the characteristic of distinguishing dharmas. Fearlessness is speaking of reason and liberation. The power of the two is unobstructed ability. Arising is because something that did not exist before was done. From another point of view, it is also said to be one's own, and here too the word "self-nature" should be observed. The power of wisdom's fearlessness abides in this, and it becomes apparent because it is distinguished by blessings. However, the sound of "however" is the meaning of showing another aspect, that is, "however, by the power of the Buddha" is thinking like this: the difference of means is inconceivable, so did this cause a hundred people to realize a wisdom that did not exist before? Or did it make the original one even more superior? The blessings of the Thus-Gone One (Sanskrit: Tathāgata) were obtained. Otherwise, even noble (Sanskrit: ārya) Subhūti, who is like me, could not do it. It cannot be said that it is superior because it is the best among those who abide without afflictions, because I am also the best of those who possess wisdom, and there is such a difference, so I can speak. The thought of the noble Śāriputra (Sanskrit) is that the action of the samādhi without afflictions is not on the speaker. Although it is possible to understand that the means are inconceivable, because the faculties are dull, one cannot immediately generate wisdom that did not exist before, so the subsequent discrimination is shown, so "thereafter" etc. were spoken. The minds of the Śrāvakas (Sanskrit) are focused on the minds of others, otherwise they cannot, so the phrase "by the power of the Buddha" is used to express knowing without letting go of the mind. Such a reason is the nature of the three discriminations mentioned above, that is, the expression of the mind that seeks completely relying on the mind or wisdom. That is also because the mind is coarse, so it is discrimination. That refers to what was just said. With the mind that follows that in conventional truth, after knowing, it will be explained, saying like this. That which was said is "Venerable Śāriputra" etc.
