That is, the Prajñāpāramitā. The non-dual wisdom of the Buddha, the Bhagavan, which is like an illusion, is real. Because of attaining it and conforming to it, the treatises of words and collections of speech, and the paths with characteristics such as seeing, are also called Prajñāpāramitā, which is a designation. Moreover, the venerable teacher Dignāga said: Prajñāpāramitā is non-dual, that wisdom is the Tathagata, because it possesses the meaning of accomplishing that, it is the sound of 'that' on treatises and paths. Thus it is said. Therefore, the three aspects related to it, free from images, are also regarded as Prajñāpāramitā. Because the main thing is empowered. These themselves are not, because without this, it does not arise, so because the three Bodhis are empowered. Now, again, from this, those who wish to study in the Śrāvakabhūmi should also listen to this Prajñāpāramitā, and so on, will be explained. Because it is to show the way to realize all aspects of the supreme meaning of a person, and also in that, the son of the family, the Bodhicitta, is the seed. That itself is the fruit, as it is said in the Ārya Tree Arrangement Sutra: It is the essence of all the Buddha's teachings. How is it that whoever, aiming at the benefit of others, desires the characteristics of perfect and complete enlightenment, by distinguishing the differences in understanding the Bodhicitta, which is divided into twenty-two types, Bodhisattvas and Mahāsattvas will also necessarily arise in all three Prajñāpāramitās, and will necessarily attain it, which is called the nature and ultimate distinction of generating the mind together with the object. Because that distinction is the meaning of the Sutra, for the sake of showing it. The Bhagavan himself, through the gate of instructing Subhuti, made a brief explanation of the Prajñāpāramitā. Here, the brief summary of the meaning of the words is: Bodhisattvas and Mahāsattvas, through the difference of truly understanding all aspects of the Bodhicitta, the three Prajñāpāramitās

Just as one attains true knowledge through the gradual process of cultivating wisdom, such as through hearing, similarly, in order to extensively explain starting from the Perfection of Wisdom related to these, the Blessed One said to the venerable Subhuti, "Subhuti, you should manifest the four distinct perfect knowledges." In broader terms, firstly, through the power of lineage, the seed of compassion is awakened, and through the perfection of practice and intention, the mind of enlightenment is fully embraced. In this way, through the power of lineage and so forth, by properly taking the vows of a Bodhisattva and so on, one generates the mind of enlightenment, which has emptiness and compassion as its essence. Having made the aspiration to become a fully enlightened Buddha, one strives to teach the Dharma through the three vehicles for the benefit of others, as appropriate. Then, one completes it through perfect practice. This is the nature of desiring perfect and complete enlightenment, aiming at the benefit of others, including both cause and effect. Just as one knows the difference between the intention to begin and the act of proceeding, similarly, the wise should understand the difference between these two in sequence. Therefore, the nature of aspiration and engagement is the two types of Bodhicitta. Great joy, great activity, great meaning, and great arising, are the mind of a Bodhisattva, the arising of a mind with two meanings. As it is said, the mind that arises in conjunction with the mind, appearing in a special object, is it not the generation of the mind of enlightenment? If it is said that the desire for perfect and complete enlightenment itself is striving for that purpose, arising from the mind of desiring virtuous Dharma, then how can it be the generation of the mind of enlightenment? Although this is true, if one sees helpless beings drowning in the ocean of suffering, and with the virtuous thought of saving them, strives for the purpose of having the nature of desiring virtue, then, because this itself is the cause of attaining Buddhahood, it is the generation of the mind of enlightenment, therefore here the cause shows the effect. All the virtuous Dharmas of a Bodhisattva who thus desires and strives for it

Now, in order to know that it will increase, it is also faultless to rely on approximation. Or, aspiration is what is sought, which is the desire for perfect and complete enlightenment. The generation of the mind that acts together with this is indicated by its sound, because seeking becomes the main thing, which is the occasion for generating the mind. Therefore, it is reasonable to say that bodhisattvas generate that mind endowed with aspiration. Then, what is the nature of what is desired, and for whose benefit is the mind generated, that is, the truly perfect and complete enlightenment, and what are the other benefits? It should be told as in the Sutra of Twenty-five Thousand. Among them, the brief explanation of truly perfect and complete enlightenment is: Shariputra, here, the bodhisattva mahasattva, wanting to fully realize all dharmas in all ways and attain perfect and complete enlightenment, should respect the prajnaparamita, which is what was said. Among them, the extensive explanation of this is: Shariputra, here, the bodhisattva mahasattva abides in the prajnaparamita in a non-abiding manner, and because there is no clinging to the giver, the gift, and the receiver, he perfects the perfection of generosity in a non-abandoning manner, which is what was said. Among them, the brief explanation of other benefits is: The bodhisattva mahasattva, in each of the ten directions, in world realms as numerous as the sands of the Ganges, wanting to lead all sentient beings that exist to nirvana in the realm of nirvana without remainder, should train in the prajnaparamita, which is what was said. The extensive explanation of this is: The bodhisattva mahasattva, wanting to make stingy sentient beings practice generosity, those with broken vows keep vows, and those with much anger practice patience, should train in the prajnaparamita, which is what was said. It is also said: The generation of the mind is for the benefit of others, truly perfect and complete enlightenment.
