Since the earth is always completely pure, how can it be said that it increasingly tends towards the distinction of purity? The water element, gold, and the sky, etc., desire to be pure as if they were pure. If it is said like this, then purity is the wisdom of suchness, because it is too attached to the distinction of the antidote, so it is driven by the meaning of being too attached to the unfavorable aspect. Therefore, since the discrimination of the unfavorable and the antidote aspects has not been abandoned, it will become purity of only one aspect. According to your view, the object of all-knowingness of the blessed one is non-thing, so what is the ultimate object? There is no fault, because the non-thing that follows reason, so it is said that non-thing is the true conventional. Obscuring the nature of suchness, gradually realizing it like an illusion is purity. In this way, the nature that becomes the main thing is the lineage, and the transformation that becomes the main thing is the object. Therefore, there is no denial that both are both, and this is the difference in the nature of the basis and the object. There are many things to say about establishing the object, but it is enough to expand it slightly, so said the Holy Liberation Group. For the Bodhisattva who merely remembers the object and says that he has realized the object, what is the need? If you want to know the need, the Blessed One said, "Whatever is said like this," etc. For what reason, what is needed, is a person who has become a Bodhisattva called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva? The answer is: "Sentient beings," etc. The great aggregate of sentient beings refers to the general statement of the immeasurable collection of sentient beings. Since samsara has no beginning, even if one enters, it becomes great because of its greatness, so it is said to be an aggregate. The great lineage of sentient beings refers to returning from different lineages through the distinctions of entering and abiding in the category of fruit, etc., and measuring it with the same share from the overall sentient beings.

This is a description of the characteristics of assembled sentient beings. The term "supreme nature" means that having entered for that purpose, because of realizing the greatness of the mind of the supreme nature of all sentient beings, in order to universally attain it, for those sentient beings who wish to attain it, the supreme nature is perfected by teaching the Dharma and so on. Therefore, the reason for being called a Bodhisattva Mahasattva is because of that reason, because this person possesses a great mind. Because of possessing a great mind, there is naturally great renunciation, and in order to show great renunciation, because of relying on the guru, in order to request permission, Shariputra the venerable one requested the Blessed One, saying, "Blessed One, I also," and so on. For what purpose is a Bodhisattva called a Mahasattva? For the meaning of that word, Blessed One, I also dare to speak. And the meaning of the word "also" is, not only the Blessed One. For the meaning of permission, Shariputra, the Blessed One said, "Now, if you know that the time has come," and so on. In order to say what, now, now the time has come, if you know that it is the time, dare to speak about that meaning, which is to fully manifest it. Requesting to obtain permission and great self-view, etc., because of clinging to self. Because this is the basis of pride, it is called self, because pride arises from this. Because it is the nature of destruction, it is a sentient being. Because it is governed by the power of the life force, it exists until the category of shared fate is completely fulfilled, therefore it is life. Because it exists again and again in samsara, it is a person. Because it will arise, it is arising. Because it will disappear, it is ceasing. Because what previously existed no longer exists, it is annihilation. Because whatever nature exists will not disappear, it is permanent. To view the five aggregates as self and what belongs to self is to view them as one's own body. Such views are called, as previously stated, views such as wrong views, holding to vows and asceticism, etc., in order to abandon the nature of clinging to fabricated things such as self and Dharma, as well as habitual tendencies.
