It is said that it is spoken in this way because it is combined with the nature of [Dharmakaya] self, and it is combined with wisdom and action. Therefore, it is said that this will not contradict all the four bodies spoken of from other aspects. If this is the case, then what is the difference between the Samadhi without afflictions of the Shravakas and the Samadhi without afflictions of the Tathagatas? If it is not permissible for afflictions to arise from seeing the self, then the complete abandonment of the arising of human afflictions is the Samadhi without afflictions of the Shravakas and so on. The Samadhi without afflictions of the Tathagatas is to eradicate the continuum of afflictions of all beings in towns and so on. It is also said: The view of the Shravakas without afflictions, completely abandons human afflictions, in towns and so on, cutting off their continuum of afflictions, is the Victorious One's without afflictions. This is what is said. What is the difference between the knowledge from aspiration of the Shravakas and so on and the knowledge from aspiration of the Tathagatas? It should be said that the knowledge from aspiration of the Tathagatas is that it naturally enters into the absence of characteristics, and because it does not cling to objects, it is free from attachment to forms and so on, and because it has abandoned the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations of knowledge together with their predispositions, it is unobstructed to all knowable objects, and because it remains as long as samsara exists, it is eternally abiding, and because it has attained individual correct knowledge, it is able to answer questions, therefore it is considered superior to the knowledge from aspiration of the Shravakas and so on. It is also said: The Buddha's knowledge from aspiration, is spontaneously accomplished and has abandoned attachment, and is unobstructed and eternally abiding, and is considered to answer all questions. This is what is said. Merely the difference of abandoning the subtle predispositions of the afflictive obscurations and the obscurations of knowledge, as well as the two kinds of pervasive ignorance, all the Dharmas such as the aspects of enlightenment that are possessed in the continuum of the Tathagatas have extremely excellent differences, so the two differences just mentioned are merely approximate representations. If this is the case, then the constant mind

Then, when the Dharmakaya, which is of the nature of great compassion, abides, why does it not constantly benefit all sentient beings? Because when one encounters virtuous friends, etc., the seeds of virtue previously generated, and the cause of focusing on the Buddha, etc., are completely increased, then for which sentient being at which time, giving teachings, etc., will be of lasting benefit, at that time, in order to do that thing, because the previous aspiration is accomplished, the Bhagavan then performs the act of benefit in accordance with the appearance of that place and that time. Therefore, the Dharmakaya, which is of the nature of great compassion, abides, like a wish-fulfilling jewel, constantly present, but because of the faults of one's own karma, the cause is not complete, so it does not appear to accomplish the fruit, one should understand it in this way. Therefore, for example, although the king of gods sends down rain, sesame and other seeds that are rotten, etc., become unsuitable as seeds, and will not grow, similarly, although the Buddha is skilled at accomplishing the wishes of all sentient beings, those without merit will not obtain the good of hearing the Dharma, etc., one should understand it in this way. As it is said: After the cause has completely matured, to whom, where, and when, the action performed can benefit, in that place, that place appears. Although the king of gods sends down rain, like seeds that are not good do not grow, although the Buddhas have appeared, those without fortune do not enjoy goodness. Thus it is proclaimed. In this way, according to the reason stated above, because of performing vast deeds of benefit through the door of all appearances, and constantly abiding until samsara is not empty, the Bhagavan also has no exhaustion, therefore, in order, the Buddha is called pervasive and constant. Therefore, one should also not think that the body, which is of the nature of wisdom, exists in the basis of the continuum determined by each yogi, arising moment by moment, how can it be said to be pervasive and constant? As it is said: Thus, because the action is vast, the Buddha is definitely said to be pervasive, because that nature is inexhaustible, it is also said to be constant. Thus it is proclaimed. After that are the thirty-two major marks and eighty minor marks.
