If asked about "cushion," there is no fault, because it is said in scriptures such as the Sutra Unraveling the Intent: "The pervasive ignorance that follows subtle secrets and hinders great superknowledges, and its seeds, are abandoned on the tenth ground." Therefore, the cause of the habit of pervasive ignorance, as previously stated, is completely severed, and the four kinds of conceptualizations of grasper and grasped that arise from that cause, like these, because they are the nature of the ultimate realization, are definitely abandoned in the peak realization related to the tenth ground, while in other places they are occasionally abandoned, as explained by previous teachers. In order for people of low intelligence to understand, with a compassionate mind, the aforementioned conceptualizations are divided into nine types each according to the difference of objects, while for those with sharp intelligence, in order to avoid contempt, they are not divided too much, and the same should be understood for the opponent side. The general meaning here is that all the conceptualizations of grasper and grasped, as mentioned before, are caused by perversion, and that perversion is also the nature of clinging to things from beginningless time. Therefore, by reversing this with an object and aspect that are opposite to it, by the wisdom of no self-nature, it is precisely the abandonment of it. If it is abandoned, then how can the conceptualizations of grasper and grasped, etc., which have it as their root, exist? This is what is to be said. When this path of seeing truly arises, with the distinction of the desire realm, form realm, and formless realm, the four conceptualizations each have nine natures, abandoning one hundred and eight conceptualizations of grasper and grasped, and the one hundred and eight afflictions of habit that generate conceptualizations included by these, are obtained through the law of dependent origination, and in order to be able to use it freely, one should repeatedly cultivate it, as it is said, all those skilled in the path of skillful means, their practice will be perfected, and so on. The yogi who has attained the path of seeing, from the fear of afflictive obscurations and cognitive obscurations

Because there is not, therefore, having entered into the samadhi called Lion's Arising, later, due to the factors of dependent origination, such as actions being in accordance with the law, and birth ceasing, old age and death ceasing, etc., being not in accordance with the law, to correctly understand these, know that this is skillful means here. As it is said: Having entered into the Lion's Arising Samadhi, from then on, understand the dependent origination in accordance with and not in accordance with the law. Thus it is said. Having thus proclaimed the path of seeing, if one first dispels the qualities that are not in accordance, it is easy to understand dependent origination. In order to explain the path of cultivating dependent origination, it is said that all skillful means desire to be included, etc. All skillful means here are the path of cultivation. This is also included in the nine successive abidings of gradual abiding, and it should be known that this is also included in the samadhi of the Holy Tongra. Therefore, it is said that Bodhisattvas, starting from the first dhyana and going up to cessation, and then starting from cessation and coming down to the first dhyana, thus, with two orders of conforming and not conforming to the law, experience the four dhyanas and the four formless absorptions, and the samadhi of the nature of cessation, going and coming in nine successive abidings, and again enter the first dhyana, and having risen from that, enter cessation, and likewise, up to the realm of neither perception nor non-perception, enter cessation. Having risen from that, focus on the immediately preceding samadhi, placing the consciousness that operates in desire in the nature of an interval, and rising with the power of skillful means, not equally abiding in consciousness, having directly realized that, then enter cessation. Then enter non-equal abiding. After that, abandoning the single cessation, enter the realm of neither perception nor non-perception. Then enter non-equal abiding. Then abandoning the two, enter the realm of nothingness. Then enter non-equal abiding. Likewise, until abandoning the eight and entering dhyana.
