Because there are differences in results for those closer to me, etc., the Tathagata becomes incomplete, this is the thought. For the sake of taming beings, the Tathagata says my birth is exhausted, etc., this is establishing distinctions, but it is not true. Saying this is not right. To explain the meaning of this treatise, for what reason? After raising this question, the Tathagata is free from all distinctions and discriminations, etc., thus it is said. Discrimination is the nature of self-characteristics and common characteristics without form, etc., and without discrimination. And those with discrimination become the object of focus. For these, discrimination is focusing on it. Being free from these is a synonym for abandonment because of understanding the nature of non-discrimination. If there is no proximate object of focus, why do the mental actions and minds of others not arise? Venerable Shariputra, just like that, without an object of focus, etc., thus it is said. The Dharma nature of dependent origination is like this, because without an object of focus,

If emptiness is the case, then how does the mind with an object arise? What is said is: Venerable Subhuti, when is the time of what, etc. The so-called "solitude" is emptiness because it is the very separation from the object of focus. What is said is, "In the mundane, it arises with the unreal pervasive conception as the object of focus": Venerable Shariputra, with the characteristic as the object of focus, etc. The characteristic belonging to form, etc., with the non-common characteristic, even if it is merely without characteristics, it is the meaning of taking the characteristic as seen and adding to it. The so-called "also in the middle," this sentence summarizes the name and form, etc., which are produced by the cause of consciousness. The so-called "depending on the worldly term" is in terms of the mundane. The so-called "following the speaker" is the rest. Although it has been shown that there is a relationship between karma and fruit in dreams, the question is still raised in terms of sentient beings with objects of focus: Venerable Subhuti, when is the time of what, Bodhisattva, etc., that's what was said. If there are still doubts about the questions that have already been answered, because it is boundless, who can answer the mind that abides in peace? Based on this idea, Venerable Shariputra, Bodhisattva Mahasattva Maitreya, etc., that's what was said. The so-called "this meaning" is asking: What is dedicated in the dream, should it be said that what is given is what is dedicated? The so-called "manifestation with the body" refers to: entering the path of Arhat, obtaining the cessation of non-return, which is manifestation. Similarly, because the noble Maitreya has already entered the path to Buddhahood, it is said to be manifestation with the body. Subhuti called the noble Maitreya with his own words and said: From that time on, Venerable Shariputra, etc. Although it has been shown according to the differences of the beings to be tamed, there are still repeated questions about the content that has been taught. Even if the answers are repeated, it is only meaningful for those with good fortune. Therefore, only when one Buddha appears can all beings abandon perversion.

It is said that it is impossible to answer. When answering this question, you personally showed that: because other Buddhas will appear in the future, this question is not complete. If it is complete, there is no need, and the appearance of future Buddhas will also become meaningless. With this thought in mind, wanting to answer, what is said is: Venerable Subhuti, whatever is said like this, etc. To discriminate in the manner of conditioned phenomena is to say: Venerable Subhuti, what is called Maitreya, etc. Regarding this, temporarily saying that emptiness cannot be answered, that refers to the emptiness of form, etc. Saying that it is impossible to answer is because it does not exist, so there is no power. Saying that form, etc., also cannot answer, that is to say: Venerable Subhuti, what dharma, etc., from the perspective of the distinction that there is no designation of the agent, action, and deed, what dharma answers, what dharma is answered, and what dharma is used to answer are spoken. Saying what dharma is prophesied, this is spoken with oneself as the object. Saying that all dharmas are designatable is unreasonable, that is to say: Venerable Maitreya, what are these dharmas, how, etc. Saying this: If, as these dharmas say, these dharmas of your form, etc., appear like that, then at that time, with the identity of the answerer, the meaning of discrimination will be designated, how will all dharmas become undesignatable? Saying this. Saying that there is no such realization, that is to say: Venerable Shariputra, how are these expressed in language, etc. In the case of conjunction, etc., it is connected to not understanding, etc. So, if it is how? It is however, etc. Saying this: Because the illusion-like nature of all dharmas is itself without self-nature, so at the time of realization, discrimination has no object, so how can it be touched by the body, spoken by language, and by the mind...
